I'm afraid our definitions of 'up north' may differ. I'm in Aberdeen

However, whilst I couldn't collect it, I could get parcelfarce or similar to do so?

OK, it's a bit battered - hence me needing to test it first but will have more news when I've made a bit more room on the kitchen table so that I can test it and the 5 x C64's that I've got

And the ZX Spectrum with a +D disk drive (and a few hundred disks!)

Ah, lots of testing! I have pared down the amount of that sort of thing I have, too much time taken that I ought to be spending on other projects. The ST will always have a special place though!

My kitchen table is green .. forgotten what colour it was and after a catty comment from the leasing agent's inspector bloke, I decided to see what was on the table and negate the need to buy yet another computer desk

Will get it checked out before the end of the weekend.

Knew there was another reason for plugging in the nice new 19" flat-screen TV other than to test the C64's out Will get it sorted - are you going to be removing the case etc from the STE - if so, got one that has a 'detachable' case (ie. it's coming off!) that I think is a 1Meg STE ...

Yep, it's going into a rack case that's already got a sawn-up lower half of the STE case in it.

Which parts of it don't you need - it might make the postage a bit lighter for you etc.

All I really need is the motherboard with all the chips on it - so the PSU, keyboard, casing etc is all unnecessary.

That said it might be better to also include the bottom half of the shielding - it can be a bugger to detach and re-assemble!

OK that'll make it a lot lighter .. will dig it out and unplug the C64 tonight and get it tested. Was working when mate shoved it into the loft many moons ago so should be OK still.

Bugger .. looked at the machine tonight and mate who previously owned it said it was an STE .. but it's an STFM

However, it is almost already separated into the bits Chandler requires so if you can make use of an STFM godstalker, it's good to go

Will do that tonight .. was too naffed off that I hadn't opened the box and double-checked. I knew it was already in bits (the PSU and drive are already removed as mate was doing upgrades to his machine before he packed it all away) but just didn't realise it was an STFM. Ah well, c'est la vie.

Godstalker: Do you still want it now that it's not an STE? If not Chandler wants first dibs on the bits

Sorry for the delay, just got back from Infest and am sooooooooooooo broken. In a good way.

Sadly I can't really use an STFM, in fact I have a spare one of those already Thanks for your time and attention on it anyway!

The STFM will be on its way to Chandler as soon as I can find some decent packaging
