The keyboard casing style for PCs is back!

Any opinions? I think it looks neat and has everything needed. If I find a German distributor, I'll buy one :)

Hoorah! A welcome return to the 'home-computer' look! Just needs an Atari decal sticker on it and STEEM running in full-screen mode...

Looks nice, but

- if you have no place for a "big" maschine, get yourself a notebook, the monitor is already buildin

Edit: surfed there page now for a while and i fell in love with the white and silver one. In the late 80s i designed my study/work room with the atari in mind. This case can solve my cable problems...

Thanks for the link. Do they ship to germany?

At the prices they are quoting I think a laptop looks a better bet.

That's really nice... It's like a laptop without a screen, and 4 times the power consumption. I wonder if there is a FreeKeys upgrade, like with the ST  Sorry SSB, I'm just on a high right now...

But really... it does look nice, except for that touchcursor which I've never liked. At least it uses a full size keyboard too, which is better than what you get with laptops.

You could probably try knocking something like that up oneself. microatx mb + guts of a keyboard + sloping universal project box (electronics store) + external psu housing with heavy cable suitable for all those wires in the atx connector.

Is it the same aesthetics as the atari and its very nice but i dont know how then can call it an "Evolution of the desktop pc" when atari did it like over 20 years ago.
hmmm:/
I have an ste 4mb... with a 20mb powerdrive slimline and a cumana external fdd.
And a falcon 14mb w/ ct63 + ctpci

Just goes to prove computing is like fashion - going in circles... How long before we are back using central mainframes [maybe in our homes]? (some might argue virtual machines do that already.)

Flares anyone?

Steve.

Hmmm,

Might have considered it this time last year, with an alternative o/s like Linux, and Aranym as the Atari compatible layer as a bonus.

But I got a Mac Mini instead ;-)

I see a main point to distinguish yourself from other PC users if you want to use a PC anyway.
It is more a "I'm different" attitude than an "oh, such case is so practical" one.

I'd do it for exactly that reason - to be different!
