Atari Sue Apple....?

Just a quick question....

Did Atari at any time attempt to sue Apple over the whole desktop environment thing? I remember Apple trying to sue Atari, but not the other way round...

Can anyone help?

Didn't Xerox try to sue them all? Isn't the windowed GUI a XEROX invention?

Yepp, Atari would had no reason to sue Apple.
Xeros did invent WIMP (Window Icon Menu Pointer)
Apple just was the first to make profit with it.

Atari should count themselves very happy for actually being let off the hook by Apple. Look at GEM on the pC, which was forever crippled due to Apple's legal wrangling with Digital Research.

Apple licensed the GUI technology from XEROX. I don't know if anyone else chose to do so (DR, MS..)
