Re: Atari in films
Fab - looks like the ST was actually running too judging by the font and the white screen (probably just using the VT100 emulator and pumping the text down the serial port for effect perhaps?)
STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's
Re: Atari in films
Thought it was using some sort of a word processor.
But you are probably right.

Re: Atari in films
Well, Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) made a great documentary about Sound City, a legendary music studio, where a lot of classic albums were recorded. In this documentary a well known producer, Keith Olsen, is mentioned and a photograph of him in a studio is shown (not the Sound City studio, but a competing all digital studio down the road). Lo and behold, an Atari Mega ST is in the background! Later on in the documentary they also mention ProTools (on Apple), which a lot of artists back then called SlowTools

The great movie Army of One.
You could even imagine what the guy's saying on the phone.
'We don't like emulators around here, sir' or 'So you're a proud Amiga owner huh? Yes you may come, we're waiting for you'

For those who like spotting these things, there's an Atari ST quite visible at the start of the latest Jason Bourne movie.

This seems odd in 2016 - is there an '80s / '90s flashback scene or something?SteveBagley wrote:For those who like spotting these things, there's an Atari ST quite visible at the start of the latest Jason Bourne movie.

Re: Atari in films
No its set in 2016 during a scene set in what's best described as a slightly more underground hackspace. It's not used at all, just visible sitting on the same desk as Julia Styles's character puts her laptop down to work.darklight wrote:This seems odd in 2016 - is there an '80s / '90s flashback scene or something?SteveBagley wrote:For those who like spotting these things, there's an Atari ST quite visible at the start of the latest Jason Bourne movie.

Famous Schrodinger's cat hypothetical experiment says that cat is dead or alive until we open box and see condition of poor animal, which deserved better logic. Cat is always in some certain state - regardless from is observer able or not to see what the state is.
