Hi guys, i'm usually on Vogons and a, sadly dying, german board called DOSForum.
I was born in march 1981 and after owning a NES (i still own a NES which i recapped and RGB modded four years ago) as a Kid my dad gave me his old PC and ever since then i was a PC guy, Atari and Amiga stuff is actually pretty new for me, only played a few games when i visited friends.
I have this thing where i like to collect MIDI Sound Modules, mostly Roland.

And other retro PC stuff.

Also a P200MMX with DOS that i mainly use with the MIDI modules, but i don't have pictures of that PC.
And of course my latest addition the DE10 nano board which brought me here.
I love playing old and new games and my most favorite game is to this day Monkey Island 2.
My current modern gaming PC is an AMD Ryzen 2700X with 32GB RAM and an AMD Vega 64.
It's my first PC with a full custom hard tube watercooling loop which i build myself.

But to be honest, i think my next build will be air cooled again.
Anyway, i digress.
I hope to get some deeper insight into Amiga and Atari here on this forum and of course news and goods for the Mister.
:D

We were there for the games.
If it would of been the men's league, I'd of his.
Just between Amsterdam and Eindhoven, it gets crazy.
There was huge support, but when it was over it was over :)
Bummer, was rooting for the Netherlands :)
I didn't care for the American Capitan....

I hadn't seen this thread before, so I'll repost here what I put into the new visitor thread...

A little introduction from me... I used the Atari extensively throughout the '90s for music. One of the record labels I was signed to in 1992 converted all my Amiga tracker mods to Cubase (Atari ST) and used Akai samplers, and showed me the way of the world of studio recording. I was hooked from then on. Bought my self an 1040STE, threw in 4MB RAM and a SM124, a couple of samplers and I was rocking. I stayed faithful to Atari throughout the '90s, until I bought my first PC, then later moved over to mac. One of the things I noticed was the lack of studio hardware support, which I thought would eventually turn up, but never did, not the way the Atari market was captured anyway.

I still have all my old disks with tracks and synth patches, I still have those old synths but have long since been factory reset, the only way to get those sounds loaded back into my synths was to get another Atari, so I bought myself a couple of dead STs (a 520STFM and a 1040STE), and bought them back to life. Grabbed myself a monitor and I'm mack in business with all my old sounds.

Thank you Atari!

Here's my upgraded and reconditioned ST with white LEDs

Hi everyone,

I’m MegaSTEarian, live in Germany and have been an Atari enthusiast since it came out. I had a 1040STe back in the days but after a few years I sold it -not sure I regret about things I do but I sure regret this sale. Couple of days ago I bought myself a MegaSTE 4 and I’m back in the game. I thought accessories for Ataris would be easier to find, as they are for the Amiga scene, but turns out it is not. Pity :(
Well, this is me. I will post a photo of the Mega baby as soon as I have unpacked it.

Hi Brume! Nice to meet you, a name I've seen a lot before today .
Thanks for un-shadowing "ICS" nickname :D. So nice to find Skinhead after all those years. Will have pleasure to chat with him again

Pretty sure you know the existence of the project https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-crackers--3#/ from Marco at Microzeit.
I need to remind a lot of anecdotes to be accurate for the interview. So it's time to contact friends from the past century ...
