yes, i remeber him.. Belgarion/ics was one of my first "elite" users of my old BBS. and I was friend of him. he always uploaded all the latest stuff at those times.

I was sorry when he crashed with his MC.. =/

do you still have all his works?
It would be honorble if you could maybe do images of those disks for me/us.

Belgarion

Post by ICS »

No, I'm not Mr. Fly.

The Threat told me that Belgarion had died in a car crash on a copy party in berlin (that was ages ago). I had spoken with Belgarion maybe two or three times on the phone. He seemed to be a cool guy, but I didn't knew him that well.

After all, a person that died way too early.

Hi !
TST D0 was my friend too (we went to university together during 1990-1992).
I saw him cracked EPIC, POPULOUS II, Goblins, ... (lot of sleepless nights) for V-Max and then ICS.
He taught me all I know on 68000.
When I learned he had left our world, it hurt me. He was a great guy.
Life is a fornicating bitch !
Shitty past ... enough... Rest in peace Steph.

Agony, I should know you ?!
Did you live with him in Dijon
(rue Jeannin) ? Strangely, I can only remember about Amiga' guys over there (particularly a great amiga MOD composer) ! or (rue Jules Mercier) or (rue de fontaine les dijon - Nintendo time).
A few years ago (2001 ?!), I found and met 'FRA' the official V-Max swapper, he lent me his huge disk collection. But I never really find time to look. However, there must be lots of V-Max cracked games...

For sure ! I kept them all...
Here is a photo of his collection, somehow over 500 disks ?!

Image

A couple years ago, I began to convert some of them to standard image files but then I gave up... Tranferring files from ATARI HD to PC HD was too boring. Perhaps if my ATARI had an ETHERNET card, I could connect it to my LAN ... that would instigate me again.
Anyway I've no more really time, for this : job, wife, children...
Did someone recognized himself ? :-)

Phantom: we'd be glad to convert them. Have received many requests about V-Max by the past, looks like a lot of people are after their releases. Also I know our friends of MJJ Prod would like them, too ;)

If we can arrange a meeting we (ie Atari Legend team) could convert them for you. I have a removable SCSI hard drive that is formated ST/PC. So transferring files is not a problem.

Sorry if this topic wasn't basically about disks. I'm just trying to preserve and share the work of all Atarians...

Take care,

Brume.

Off topic somewhat as Brume hinted too - but it would be great to see these treasures saved. I hope the AL team and yourself Agony can come to some arangment...

Who know what other treasures are hidden away there too!

Well, some of you knows that my ftp is still opened (don't you C-Rem ? don't you Brume ?) - if not -.
It is a poor ADSL Line (128kbps on upload)
It can be found in #Games folder some V-Max cracked game.
I will do my best to transfer other disk image...

Hey, Agony, it seems you were with Steph during my military obligations... thus we never met !
Fra is working for an Economy Ministry Service (could you believe it ?!) in Stasbourg. I would have to search for his address...

Good to see your FTP is still open Phantom :)
Thanks for it! Do you remember when I downloaded most of the files of your FTP some years ago. I'll promise I won't to do it again ;)

Take care,

Brume.

Ourgh ! What did I do ?! I wonder if giving my ftp url was a good thing...
Only 3 hours past and ftp is already overloaded.
The average speed is about 3kBps to 6kBps each user.

Yep Brume... I can remember your mass download !
Anyway, if you find anything you do not have yet (?!) ...feel free to grab it !

Since I published my FTP address, it is overload... FTP's life !
Strangely, some of you are grabbing AUTOMATION CD on my ftp (with the average speed of 2,5 kBps ?!).
However, these compilations can be found on LGD there (about 50kBps for the moment) and certainly elsewhere Climatics ? (can't find url anymore)
