I remember before I got my ST I used to go down to the computer shop and play it there. That and Deja Vu.
What was the first game you played on your ST?

ST Raiders of course, sniff, sniff. I was a big Star Raiders fan on my XL an I thought ST Raiders was a great upgrade. You guys are lookin'(?) at one of the few Atari 1450XL owners ( of course it was just the motherboard stuck in a 1200XL case with an IBMPC power supply) But hey, it talks! Incidentlally I even designed a memory upgrade for it based on Scott Peterson's design for the XE which took it up to 320K. You may have come across it under somebody else's name that took credit for it who shall remain unmentioned.
Courtesy is not an option.

First game!
Hi
The first game I ever saw (and played) on the ST was Xenon. A friend of a friend had it at the local youth club and the graphics and speech blew me away!
I had a Speccy +3 at the time so I guess you can't blame me for being so excited when I saw the ST.
The second game I partially played was Leisure Suit Larry...... unfortunately the guy who owned the ST wouldn't let us see the naughty bits because we were too young..... grrr!!!!

Starglider (on a mate's machine) but first one I bought was Activision's Shanghai.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

dont remember the EXACT one i played 1st cos there were a few i played all around the same time. they were : Space Harrier, Bomb Jack and Outrun (from the discover packs that came with the ST!!) then i went onto the next games: Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and Lemmings (i could play lemmings at the age of 5!!!!) and then onto some more early games i played: Xenon 2: megablast (best game ever) and Speedball.

I got my Atari 520 STFM back in 1989 along with a bundle offer of 23 original games. I had about 5 minutes of delay while my ST was hooked up on a TV and having all the games layed down and I couldnt decide which one I should load first! After those 5 minutes of thought the choice was obvious.. DOUBLE DRAGON!!!

As far as I am concerned:ST Graveyard wrote:Hi,

I don't really remember anymore myself. The first games I ever saw on the ST were things like International Karate (not "+"), Buggy Boy, Time Bandit, Xevious, Moon Patrol ... Oh, and Mission Elevator ... Ah the classics ...![]()
Plutos
Test Drive
Beyond the Ice Palace
Alien Syndrome
Demon from the Conceptors
I can still remember walking up the stairs asking my dad if the graphics are any good on this new machine he had purchased, he opened the bedroom door and before me was barbarian (psygnosis) You only get those kind of experiences a few times in a whole lifetime.. considering i had come from an acorn electron to the ST
great thread btw!

Short befor I decided to buy the Atari ST instead of a Amiga 500 - I still used the Commodore 64 - I visited my uncle and had a look at his 520 ST, connected to a small color TV. I made my first Atari ST gaming experiences with "Starglider (the first wire-framed version)" and "ST Karate". I was really impressed by the nice graphics, far better than the C64 ones. at this point I knew the Atari ST would be my choice - intead of the Amiga 500.

first, my dad's 1040 only had a b/w monitor and the only games were chess and pool. kinda sucked. but after that came a disk with moon patrol (defender clone) and... wait for it.. BALLERBURG!
) that game really kicked ass. after a while all my friends just came to my house to play that game (and i was already bored with it). awful
with the tv modulator i think the first commercial game i got was Xenon 2. really loved it, but who didn't
