What was the very first game you played on your ST?
I don't really remember anymore myself. The first games I ever saw on the ST were things like International Karate (not "+"), Buggy Boy, Time Bandit, Xevious, Moon Patrol ... Oh, and Mission Elevator ... Ah the classics ...
Time Bandit was the first ever game I saw on the ST. I'm sure it was part of an ST computer bundle from someone like Silca.
The first PD game I saw was Meganoids, truly fantastic and still very playable today. However, If you play it with an emulator under XP you end up turning Stick Keys on (pressing shift key fives times in rapid succession). So you need to turn of this feature in Control Panel.
Time Bandit... I played it on a 1040ST at a computer exhibition, it was about july 1986... the ST looked awesome, compared to 8 bit computers and game systems of that time...
Time Bandit was also the first game I played when I got my 520ST on december, 1986. I had two more games, Silent Service and Pool.

You lucky sod!
For me it was Joust, I won that one from the magazine Svenska Hemdator Hacking and that was while I still just had my 130xe. Some time later I made a terrefic deal at Domus getting me a brand spanking new 520STm for only 3000 SEK but I didn't get any powerpacks or superpacks with it so I was stuck with ST Basic and Joust.
Later on I got to know a guy at school who also had a ST, I copied Defender of the Crown off of him and played that one to death.
This was followed by Mouse Trap and Super Sprint, both very nice games.
OK, I have a feeling that Im going to return to this thread again and again!
One of the very best two player games ever, in my opinion, was Smash T.V. A bit of a pig in one player mode, but in two player mode you really had to co-operate to keep the baddies away from you and your partner. A true classic and tons of enjoyment to be had!
Oh yeah, Smash TV ... I remember first seeing this on the Nintendo NES ... I rented this with a friend ... We must have played it the whole afternoon ... Indeed a fun game ...
Years later I got it for my ST, and well, it wasn't half as good anymore ...
Virus and Starglider .. and the promise that Sentinel was being ported across made me glad I'd got the ST. Played the Speccy version of Sentinel to death
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk
I don't if you want to include my answer in an official log because I only got my first ST a couple of years ago (went with Macs after my 130xe). But the first game I played was Time Bandits because I kept hearing about how it and Dungeon Master were the killer games for the ST's.
The first game I ever saw on an ST, was Starglider, my brother played it from a borrowed copy, actually not a crack but a real retail disk with cool blue sticker - probably the only ST original I ever saw.
The first game I played on the ST, was MacPan, a german PD clone of Pacman for b/w monitors. Also "Breakout", a typein variant from the german magazine "Happy Computer" comes to mind as oneof the first games I played on the ST.
Since then I'm hooked with Pacman and computer gaming in general. That was in 1987 and I was 7 years old
Got my first ST early in 1986 and only ONE game with it and that was
Borrowed Time.
It took some weeks until I met a few other Atarians and my game collection started growing ... but for the first month or so it was Borrowed Time only .... well, so I had enough time to complete it
Grandad 2, heh heh only kidding,
Time Bandits obviously, and I though to myself "what a crap game",
can't remember what other game(s) if any, were in the 520 STFM bundle.
Was super sprint in the bundle? I seem to recall my first girlfriend "borrowing" my ST because of this game.
Never even got any "gratitude" from her.
