got over 1000 floppys

Just to announce. I have recently bought 10 Posso Boxes with ST floppys. around 1000+ disks. I have started the image. and will add them to the ftp. And yes. rare stuff found among the 70 first disks!!

this will be a slow progress as I msa on falcon then transfer to pc by 1.44mb floppys as I dont have any of these "sd card mods".

That's really sad and I must say unreliable. You really should get some Flash card adapter. Wait ... you have Falcon. So need only 44 pin IDE-CF adapter and 1 CF card. That will cost you lot of money, especially considering "low" salaries in Sweden Some 20 Euros total.
P.S. forget SD cards.Falcon and Compact Flash rule !

Transfer to PC by Floppies??? I suggest you get a zipdrive for falcon and a usb-one for PC... thats how I do it.

Agree, Marcer, just do this Either a CF-adapter or (even though AtariZoll doesn't like them ) one of the extremely cheap IDE2SD adapters others have tried with the Falcon and know works. I even have one laying around that I got just because they're so dirt cheap:

I've got this pile of ST disk boxes (including the white ones) in my loft but probably won't have time to go through them 1 by 1.
I sold the original game disks, I keep the ST "pack" disks + language disks, the rest is games/midi/database/utils all sort of disks.

I'm not too keen on quick sale, can keep there for a little bit longer if that would benefit. What do you think?

the IDE port is busy as its my hd I use atm

but half week and done 1 posso box. lot of job sure.. but i like somehow the "old ways" i could fight with null-modem stuff but naah.. then i must zip the files as xyz protokoll isnt soo 100%.. thanks for adivices..

Buy a PARCP USB from Petr Stehlik. It's perfect for this job.

I've just uploaded 68 images, the first row of Disk box 3.

Sometimes the labels say nothing and I can't check them all. I put a read me file there as well, but only have the serial for Nvdi3 in there, the disk however gave me read errors.

over 200 images done now.. all corrupt ones I will do an deeper work on when all is done.

the numbers is games. and its in total over 300 games. with over 200 images 160 games is imaged

Marcer, on the floppies which have mould on them, and are actually making you unable to image them as it should, you need to open the disk, and use Cotton eye cleaner (not cotton bud, it's imprecise at best and it doesn't allow a correct clean up (some of the mould can't be see with the eye). Once cleaned with this method and IPA, you'll be able to image them at perfection.

It's a method i use on Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Amiga and PC (720kb i precise, on 1.44mb it doesn't work because it's too fragile and unreliable).

its my ftp. but everybody is open to share as long it goes by private msg as I dont want the infos public.. simple reason I dont want all these google bots hammering my home ftp!!
