F19 stealth fighter keyboard overlay

Post by fusionsynth »

I am looking for a keyboard overlay for F19 stealth fighter. Can anyone scan it for me (in a big resolution) ?

Would appreciate it very much. :D

Never used the scanner part of my printer before. It's a cheap HP.

This is 600 DPI, saved in PDF format (can do higher, and JPG - which would be better?)

Also, because it's bigger than keyboard sized, I can't do it in one pass. Not sure how
to merge them either.

Anyway, I hope you can get some use out of it. Let me know if you want me to try
again with other choices.

Maybe someone else with more experience can do a better job of it?

Here's the merged version, best I can do with the quality of the scans provided as they distort/lose focus slightly at the edges of the scan (may have been better to fold the original and insert a piece of blank white paper inbetween to prevent the folded section from showing)

Sorry about the quality. :(

I can try again. That was at 600dpi, and I think I can go as high as 2400,
but the file sizes get pretty large.

The dpi was fine, in fact you could've used 300 and that would have been way good enough. The imperfections in your scans come from not having the edges of the document absolutely flat on the scan glass, that's why some of the text is blurry and the lines a bit distorted.

Ah...that's where the overlay sticks out from one end of the HP. It's too long. I guess it forces that end up for an imperfect fit.

Yep, exactly. I assume it folds in 3 sections right? If it does you might be able to fold one end section behind with a sheet of A4 white paper tucked into the fold so you can scan the 2 unfolded sections flat on the glass. Then repeat the process at the other end, so you should end up with a scan of section 1&2 and a scan of section 2&3.

The overlays in my scans should be full print size, so just chop the image into printable chunks and you're done.

EDIT: I'll attach it here directly.

You version has some distortion on the numeric keypad on the right-handside where it says 'last-point' and 'next point', also size-wise it's not matching 1:1 with Darklords version, I won't be able to test the print size for another month when I move back home where my kit is.

Yes let us know which one fits best. Make sure you turn off printer scaling.

I used the one from catmando. The cut out on the left side only is a bit too wide, but that is no problem for the fitting.

Fellow F19 pilots may want to take a look at this, which I just finished working on :)

Good job and thanks for all that work.

Unfortunately, I couldn't download it without joining some group.
