Wanted: A topic called "General Atari"

I wanted to share something with you all that could be in several topics at once (Atari ST Professionals: Applications + Atari Falcon: Professionals, and maybe it is even a smaller announcement of some sort) and realized that Chat Forum [ENG] is maybe too broad/generic...? Do those who have an interest in the Professional-topics also read the Chat Forum [ENG] or are some topics lost there for ever?

Is there room/interest/need for a General Atari topic?

Or am I way out here?

I think there are enough sub-forums, just post in 'general'

I can't speak for everyone, but I tend to browse the unread topics list and unanswered topics list. These are "catch all" lists so I don't miss anything that may be of interest regardless of which forum/section they are in. Posts will end up in the wrong forum/section from time to time, but this is usually rectified by a moderator. Just post it up where you feel appropriate and if there's any reason to move it, it will be taken care of.

Without knowing the content of your post, I cannot advise where you should post it - however as a general rule, if it doesn't specifically fit in any of the other areas, it should be posted in the Chat Forum.

Seconded! We have subforums for all topics, anyting related to applications and networking goes to Professionals, anything hardware, games and demos is clear. The rest for sure should go to General, unless it is crappy iPhone spam

No, I do not have interest in a general Atari board and no, the poster is not asking a weird question.
