Desktop Configurator released

Post by simonsunnyboy »

The Desktop Configurator has been released.

A small utility which allows you to select one of up to 10 individual DESKTOP.INF (or NEWDESK.INF) files from the AUTO folder of your harddisc so you can boot into a customtailored desktop, e.q. one for games, one for coding, one for tools,etc..

Check http://paradize.atari.org/

This tool only manages selection of the DESKTOP.INF and nothing more.
Most AUTO folder and DESKTOP.INF management tools offered too many unneeded features for me so I wrote this one. If it is of any use, feel free.

The simple ideas are the best :)

Nice tool (oo-er!)
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Thanks for this nice feedback sofar! I didn't knew that ppl actually preferred such small and simple tools over bloated XBOOT solutions ;)

Really appreciated - was the manual ok to make it work? I feared it was a bit unclear where to put the CONFIG?.INF files...
