"The Atari Forum Demo" released

Finally..a bit earlier then expected but as I don't plan to alter things or add more stuff, the demo is finished and you can download it here.

Have fun!

I'm personally not proud of it - some bits, odds and ends of a real nice demo are missing, parts are great but my framework is not what I intended months ago. I'm sorry, yes it is a bit lame.
I hope you enjoy the various parts - some nice oldschool stuff is with it.

The disc contains a READ.ME, but no doc displayer or the like.

Some things may not work with all TOS.

THIS IS CLEARLY AN AMATEURISH DEMO DONE BY THE MEMBERS OF THIS DEMO FOR THE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM.
IT IS NOT INTENDED AS A SCENE RELEASE!

Next time someone more skilled should put it together, seems I' not that good after all.

So go judge yourself!

What I have seen so far looks really good ... But damn it, I can't get my up and down keys to run in STEEM ... So I can only see the "tit" screen ... which looks really nice BTW ...

Very good! I'm about half way through now, just had to take a break to say that I think you guys have done a remarkable job! And as Brume say, there is no need to blush for this!

Hope this demo will get a sequel!

Anyway, back to the demo now.

if you still have problems with steem, turn off the joystick emulation.

Either use Makedisk or MSA itself

or simply copy all files to a clean DD disk. The thing will run without AUTO or the boot sector. Should even do from HD if you copy all files from floppy root to some dir on your harddisc. Then click LOADER.PRG to enjoy or better vomit.

Anyway, I'm at work so I cannot try this (until lunchtime, when Those Above Me go for food), but I have a couple of remarks:

-Why would you release it if it's so lame as you describe it indeed? C'mon, be proud of something you contributed in, or scrap it altogether!

-ahhh at last

Now, gotta increase that download counter on Steem's page by one tick...

Is it possible to make a demo to compete in a party like the AltParty in Finland. I attended this in the past, and will do again next year so it may be a good laugh to present something to the party. Many members of Aggression are organisers...

Error correction:

The screen N.O.X.T.R:A was not coded by GT Turbo but by Atomus.
Seems I mixed up the info files while compiling the README.
Sorry for this stupid error.
