Heh, I did. I was going to wait until I could gather what cards I have, but sent it along at your prompting. Thanks!

I have a MegaSTE/TT030/Falcon. But all my setups are now gone for Christmas time. I will be able to test post mid of January if still needed.

They get to travel during the Lockdown? So unfair. ;)
I will see if I can find time tonight to try these out. If not, will be at least by the weekend.

I had to move them away from where they were set up and tidy up my desk :(

Thought I'd asked Frank about this not long ago, and said the GALS can be modified. Took that as he has done so, as well as use the new NOVA drivers you've done.
Welcome back by the way :)

Well I tested out this card; but it gives me screen corruption with the new driver. Still works with the NVDI driver, but then it also gives me screen corruption with Windows 98 too.

I filled out the RAM slots on it, so that probably is the reason why?

I told you already that my drivers currently don't support 2MB for the W32i card, so no surprise for me.
Could you please NOT post beta test information publicly? That does not help the process and just increases the confusion within this thread. For any analysis, I will also need more information than "I tested...gives me screen corruption". Preferably a description of the test setup, the chosen parameters within nVMG and the created inf files. Thanks.

Apologies, my point was more 'I need to remove the chips I inserted as even Windows thinks it is busted'
I was guessing that the nvdi driver did not attempt to address the extra ram, and was wo dering if your new driver did.
Test set up is my TT with the NOVA VME board from Frank and it would just freeze on driver initialization, with lines on the screen. I need to go through my pictures to remember which chips I added as they were an offset. Will PM you the results after.

This is why I posted publicly. Pretty sure my card is just crap. And that it worked at all on the TT was a miracle.

Hi, i wish to help and try testing nVMG, i have both a MSTE and a TT and have 2 different et4000w32i and wait for a ati mach32, strange thing is my 2 et4000w32i behave very diffrent, just found that on the card that works very good in all 15/16/24bit modes is ET4W32-4, is very similar to the ET4W32-5 found on the drivers page under TT w32i, the ALE pin is connected with a 47 picofarad on the et4w32-4 and not on the et4w32-5 will try and fit one and se if that makes any changes, the et4w32-5 leaves alot of dirt on the screen while i move the mouse in higher bit modes, works ok in 1024x768x256 but still leaves some dirt on screen but not much just a few pixels, but with etw32-4 i have none of that, and running some tests the et4w32-5 is about 5-8% faster in benchmark, anyway i would love to help testing some new drivers.

Ha, I finally found time last night to replace the memory in my ET4000w32i, and that sort of seemed to fix the corruption in win98, but I think I need to reflow bits of it as it still is a little crappy.

nVMG project cancelled.
Thanks for any time invested in testing. Please don't distribute the beta version any further!

No idea, as I had hardware issues and haven't really been able to test.

Carl-R, I had the same problem with my Mach32 which is the exact same model as yours, my trouble and maybe yours is RAM related, not the RAM itself, it's the sockets for the 2nd MB, after ~30 years they probably start losing their grip.
I started messing with the RAM and had the RAm half-in the sockets, on the pressure point just before the chip snaps in the socket. The Mach32 stopped showing the symptons and started behaving as it should.

Then I desoldered the sockets, soldered the RAM chips on with hot air and my Mach32 is now happily showing all the high-end resolutions and colors.

Yeah, I should do the same on mine, or at the very least reflow the ram sockets.
