It's very nice but would it be too small overall compared to the word ST?Greyfox™ wrote:Would you beileve I've only just copped thatMarakatti wrote:Looks cool. Your choice of ST Format cover "Let's get digital" is very clever,
okay I see what you mean..and have soften the mags, because this is due to the hires versions I created from the start..no cutting corners here..but this should be okay now..StickHead wrote:@GreyFox - Thank you for taking time to come up with this. I love the design, it really has the feel of an early nineties magazine header! One thing troubles me, though: is that the final image? There seems to be a lot of aliasing and jaggy lines (most evident around the black text and magazine covers) if you can make it look a bit smoother, we've got a hit on our hands!![]()
Excellent! Thank you, purpleeagle! These have been added to the archive and will be added to the site in good time.purpleeagle01 wrote:Hi i have uploaded the Atari ST User Magazines Volume 1 Nr.1-12 and Volume 2 Nr.1 in PDF Format at my Rapidshare Account.

StickHead wrote:Aah, that's loads better! Any chance of some anti-aliasing on the big 'ST'? If that was a bit smoother it would be perfect. Sorry if I'm being picky!
And fuji logo = win, btw!
StickHead wrote:Wow! That looks stunning, thanks Foxy! I'll just pop off to implement it at the site...
EDIT: Done! Have a look: http://stmags.com
It looks really good, GreyFox, thanks for your hard work on this.
Are you doing some work for Lorfarius' mag? Can't wait to see that come to fruition. Did you do the mock-ups? They look tres chic.Greyfox™ wrote:now I gonna finished the Nes magazine work I've been commissioned to do..it's an never ending story for me with all this work...![]()

Yes indeed I'm responsible for entire look and graphic work for the Nesbit magazine, so it is a tremendous undertaking..so I was unable to do it for free , as I'm type setting and creating magazine layouts and compositing it together from scratch..you'd of thought a magazine publication would of snapped me up for a job..as the only thing I'm not doing is writing he actually articles..but everything else..doing about 4 people's job..StickHead wrote:Are you doing some work for Lorfarius' mag? Yes! Thanks!purpleeagle01 wrote: I Hope you like it.
I would be very interested, thank you! When you get around to scanning, you can upload to the FTP in the original post if you don't have another uploading option. Cheers!Kirkman wrote:I have like four or five issues of the ACE-St. Louis newsletter from around 1992-93. (ACE = Atari Computer Enthusiasts)
I intend to scan them this fall. I can't get to it right now because they are in my house, which is under construction after being hit by the STL Good Friday tornado earlier this year.
I may also know someone who has a lot more of them. If so, I hope to scan many more.
Would these be of interest for this project?
Offering different viewing options and file formats is planned long term. I thought CBR would be a good way to go as I have read comics comfortably that way in the past (I read Maus via CDisplay). I also plan to offer separate .jpg's to facilitate a searchable index feature (way down the line). There have been suggestions of a dedicated magazine reader software (like Issuu), but I have yet to see a workable solution.Steven Seagal wrote:About the format, I think 'cbr' for CDisplay is the best. It's simply an archive "rar" of jpg files renamed to cbr.
Adobe Reader isn't so good at navigating old mags, or comics, my opinion.
