Many apologies for literally disappearing. I've been in London quite a bit lately, and it's really addictive. Regarding the stairs incident, ...it's still not properly sorted, which is annoying me as I want to get back to the gym safely etc. etc.

Right. Time is limited here, as I'm in the throws of trying to get an I.T. job in London (any ideas anyone). I know some of you have been trying to contact me, and I'm going to use this opportunity to focus completely on Atari this week.

SO. WHO WANTS WHAT!!??

You have the choice of :

* £20.00 - PeST CABLE
* £20.00 - JeST CABLE
* £26.00 - JeST CONTROLLER
* £28.00 - PeST MOUSE
* £30.00 - 6 CHIP TOS - STFM VERSIONS < 1.6 - 28 PIN EPROMS

All of those are inclusive of postage. And generally when people buy a few bits at once I knock off about 25%, as it's easier for me to little orders done in one go.

Please reply to this thread with what you would like and I'll reply back with what I have. The PeST cables I only have about 1 of, the mouse ones I have about 5. JeST, 2 or 3 controllers, and 2 or 3 cables. Enough for about 10 scart and vga cables. Maybe 3 or 4 STFM 6 chip ones (they're expensive because it's a load of messing about). And about enough to do about 10 STE EPROM sets.

I was just talking with Tomchi on MSN about you and your absence from the scene this evening! Great to hear from you again.

There is a possibility I may need a piece of custom hardware from you soon, a jag/STE Enhanced port adapter -> Sega Genesis/Megadrive pad. Due to the scarcity of Jag pads, and their poor design , I'm looking for an adapter that will remap the d-pad, CBA and Option buttons to the Sega d-pad, ABC and Pause buttons.

I'll only need a small quantity (obviously I am aware this will push the cost up a bit) as this is for a project I'm involved with. I'll contact you with full details, but just wanted to know if this is even possible? Has anyone made an adapter for the jag before (so it can use, a genesis/md pad)? With it's primary 4 buttons (ignoring the pause button), i'd imagine it would be an obvious choice considering how cumbersome those old jag controllers are.

Now I take it that when you say "PeST CABLE" you mean one of your microcontroller's mounted on a PCB complete with a cable?
Same for the JeST CABLE?
And when you say JeST CONTROLLER, I take it you mean the actual hand held game controller?
For the "6 CHIP TOS - STFM VERSIONS < 1.6 - 28 PIN EPROMS" if there is not a preset TOS that you use, please program them with the most stable version that is safe with HDD devices as I wish to use it with one of Jookie & MiKRO's excellent UltraSatan's (it will be replacing a 1.02 TOS).

And WOW!! I certainly do have my work cut out for me don't I!! That big one we'll come to a deal on that, as that'd just work out as some daft amount.

It's day of the PeSTs today. A total of 12 mice, and 6 cables. Some of those mice belong to Barrie at Keychange, and are being reprogrammed. Sometimes the mouse wasn't initialising properly and it was continually resetting if the voltage wasn't totally spot on, now it's more tolerant. Was in software too.

This isn't a rush job and can wait a while, but is there a possibility of an STE to scart lead sometime? As distinct from an STFM - Scart lead. (I'm pretty sure that some were made back in the day to support stereo capable tellys and such.)

Cable is an adapter lead (you need to buy your own controller), whereas Controller has the interface built into a PS controller already (instant plug and play).

/me reads JeST feature list.
Little confused... Can I use the direction buttons (up/down/left/right) instead of the dual analog sticks with games?
I see it works with the Amiga and C64 too, which is neat, since I've got a C64 and plan on getting an A1200 eventually.
I'm from the NES generation: D-pad + A/B is all I need. I wish there was a NEST!
I want to try some ST/C64 shmups, but I can't stand joysticks in that type of game.

I could definitely go for a PeST cable, 2 JeST cables, and an ST/VGA cable. The VGA cable would actually be preferable with a small (perhaps 6" or less) cord with a female DB15HD, that way I can easily hook it to the M/M VGA cable I have hooked to my beautiful new HD LCD that does low rate RGB

I think what I'm going to do is to get the PeSTs done first!! As I'm being contacted by via email too. The PeST Mouse ones don't seem to be going so. Really!! They ARE good. PeST has always been developed with these, and they're practically the industry standard mouse. Much like the Nokia 7110 was the plain standard, as was the the IBM model M keyboard heralded the mecca!!
