I wonder if that can work with CT60. Maybe your buyer pool would be smaller for this one. Still if you're just doing it for fun, it's worthwhile!

I tried to get the Nova and the Eclipse working with the CT60 many years ago. After many months of modifying the source code, the GAL and the adapter, I found out that the CT60 does not allow those cards to work with the CT60, since the CT60 does not implement the full protocol for extension cards as defined by ATARI. :(

A PCB Set costs 30,- Euro incl. Postage Wordwide. For a build up and tested Adapter ask for the Price.

Nice! I believe something like this would be possible with the Mega ST too.

Any progress on this? I regret selling my Nova Falcon, the Eclipse is faster but fVDI is unfortunately too unstable.

When 6 or 7 People are interested in a Falcon Nova Adapter, I can make a Eagle Layout and Order PCBs ...

Note that the Nova Falcon can only work with 4MB Ram or an Magnum Falcon. 14MB Falcon will not work.

I would be interested, what exactly is a Magnum Falcon? it sucks we can not use our 14MB ram.

The thing with the Nova Falcon is I think that the Magnum Falcon at to the 4MB additional 4MB or 6MB Alternate Ram. So the Nova Falcon has free space to work ...

Yes, the Nova use the address space from 12 to 13Mb IIRC. So 12Mb max on the Falcon if you want to use a Nova. Not sure if there are other RAM-cards than the Magnum or BlowUp FX that can provide this.

Btw I'm interested in one Nova Falcon.

I would love one for my TT030 and Mega STe.

Wouldn't mind one for the Falcon either, but I do have 14mb of ram, but eventually plan on throwing in a CT60e... but was hoping for a SuperVidel run to add onto that. Decisions decisions... pretty awesome when there are enough projects out there that you have to decide!

Hello leech, send me a PM ...

You can buy a PCB Set to build all by yourself or a ready build up and tested Adapter.

Hello frank.lukas, piku, paul92706 and Idek Tramielski -- y'all have been the most active on this thread and I'm guessing are well experienced in this undertaking. However, I welcome all sage advice from you and others on the forum.

I've read this entire thread and DO NOT want to destroy my MegaSTE or my ATI mach64 video card. So I am seeking advice BEFORE installing.

1) I have purchased an new "nova" adapter from frank.lukas.
2) my Mach64 tested good on PC
3) I have identified my ATI card on Idek's site and downloaded the recommended driver and see the recommended "TT" jumper setting on the frank.lukas nova card. (My card is the card on the top of the page with the DAC: CH8398A).

Questions:
1) What are the "never do this" recommendations?
2) frank.lukas did you utilize the SuperGal on these adapter or will I need to swap GAL before the ATI card will work?
3) will the ATI mach64 work in a MegaSTE?
4) Best Boot Order for Auto folder?
5) is NVDI incompatible with the ATI card?

BTW: I have two working but ?? incompatible ?? ET4000 cards by Diamond. Are these completely useless for MegaSTE and TT computers?

Thanks for sharing!
:-)

My old Adapter Boards are all ET4000 only. I make a new Layout and I hope that this one works better with the ATI MACH Cards. I will test this with my ATI MACH32 2MB VRAM ISA Card in the next week ...

Cool!

I look forward to your posting.

Anyone know if there is a FAQ or wiki page to describe the safe installation of this hardware and software?

Wow, I was going to just buy one on ebay and donate it for the cause, but they fetch outrageous prices on there. 125 for one? You'd think people would just give these away..

I believe the ATI mach cards were used in some kind of professional equipment which is why the prices are arbitrarily high. Still I got one for $80 after looking for a while and I am okay with that I think. How much did this stuff cost before? A lot.

ISA anything is pretty worthless to anyone except nerds like us. It's like the Voodoo 4/5 PCI cards that can be used in Amigas.. they're always way over priced too, yet worthless to pretty much anyone else.
