Re: TT High on LCD Panel (ECL2VGA) Adapter Available
Here's the schematic I've been using.
VGA IN (male) on the left goes to the TT, and VGA OUT (female) on the right to your VGA cable.
This is "VERY" dependent on your monitors capabilities and most likely any problems with vertical lines etc are to do with phase/clock problems. Here's a web page with an extremely good writeup on what the kind of symptoms you'll see.
It essentially comes down to the HSYNC/VSYNC lines, putting out an oddball 1280x960 @ 72(ish)Hz and LCD's not being able to mimick the clocks correctly to reproduce the digital display from the incoming analog signal.
Scroll to the bottom of the page....
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/clock_phase.php
I was going to produce some boards, but it's so simple, but so varied on monitor output, it's best to publish and let others make it as they see fit.
PS. It's missing load capacitors on the IC's and power rails, but you get the idea.

Just to let folks know that the Matrix M128 graphics card works very well with the above. I'm using it right now.
These cards put out a much better signal than the TT.
So I suspect it would work with Tenox's adapter too.

Has there been any move afoot to make a board based on this for purchase? I was thinking I'd just buy the parts and breadboard, but looks like MC10ELT25 is available only in SMT.
I have a TT sitting here and would love to drive TT-HIGH off of it, the Tenox box looks great but is almost as much as I paid for the whole TT.

I did make some boards, but they're not pretty as they were just for testing and the problem is the monitors vary wildly in acceptance of the sync rates.

Alanh,
i´ve a Matrix M128 VME here and a MC10ELT25.
I also want to rebuild my video card so that they can be operated in the TT high resolution on TFT via VGA. Please make a few high-resolution pictures, as you have made the change on the M128 exactly. That would be very nice of you.
Best regards
Gaga

TenoxVGA has recently balanced cost of R&D to build and test it. As promised before, TenoxVGA is now open source. Available here: https://github.com/tenox7/tenoxvga
Regular price now dropped to $125 per unit, however extended lead times may apply for a new batch.

I made some modification (thanks gaga), I replace the three 390R resistors on the Output side with three 1N4148 Diodes. The Picture is now much better ...
There further are some moiré pattern on the Monitor.

Hi ,
I just want to add that Viewsonic VA703m works great with this adapter.

Started another thread, but figured I put this here as well..
With Tenox's blessing, I've done a small run of his ECL2VGA adapters.

Re: TT High on LCD Panel (ECL2VGA) Adapter Available
Im terrified as I have bought 2 adapters... ( NOT THESE ONES ) and neither get any display on my TT, on ANY of the monitors I have.
One is a multi input VGA/EGA/CGA/RGB to VGA and I wanted that purely to clear up the Colour picture on the TT and the other I didnt care what it did, but its just a VGA to VGA tiny thing with 5v power and a jumper. Dont know what the jumper is or does as there is no docs, but I have applied a 5v line and it gives me a black screen at best.
At least the other gave me a green screen and occasionaly I saw a 3 chinese symbols on it when it started up.
I just dont want to keep spending money on things right now.

MSTE @ 16Mhz : 4MB+8MB : Magic & Jinnee
TT030 @ 32Mhz : 10+16MB : Magic & Jinnee
Falcon060 @ 95Mhz : 16+512MB : MiNT & Jinnee
More PCs than PC World has... Probably
