i downloaded 4.03 from somwhere, but i cant remember where and cant find it on my system :evil:

Umich Atari Archives have it actually but I think you need a key for it.
Not sure if the key is provided in the LZH. That's why I didn't include it in my posting.

you can try "modern" benchmark tool like Kronos or Zbench, they are better thant
gembench and free.

you will need LDG for some test

Thanks everyone, I shall get some test done in the next day or so and post the results...

In the meantime, I am going to be faffing about getting my SCSI CD rom working to transfer more files across - at least that is the hope ;)
