Legends of Espen Gamedemo wanted

Hello folks,

I am looking for the game legends
of Espen. It was written by Patrick
Eickhoff (excuse me if I wrongspelled
the name), but even he does not have
it anymore.

It was supposed to be a 3-D texture
mapped game, a bit like doom, for the
milan.

I haven't had a Milan at that time, but
it also ran on the falcon, but very
slow.

Now I would be interested in this game
again, as I have a Milan060 and a
falcon060, so it should run smooth ;)

Could anyone help me out?

Cheers,

mac

Well,

I don't know if there ever was a public demo out there... I only remember his website with some screenshots.

Here is an interview with him in german:

http://www.stcarchiv.de/stc2000/11_espen.php

...

some news from UCM23:

...LEGENDS OF ESPEN...

This former MILAN oriented 3D adventure was put on ice as the MILAN 2 finally
was cancelled even if it was thought to run on 68o4o hardware. The reason was
quite simple. Patrick Eickhoff, the developper has sold his own MILAN 1 in the
end. Now he waits for a new version of the STEMULATOR on PC that includes a good
emulation of the 68o4o but as he wrote me he doubt that there will be some moves
in that direction. He told me that he's still very motivated to go on with this
project but without proper hardware to go on with the development, he has no
chance... So with "LEGENDS OF ESPEN" the last game project that was brought to
life through the MILAN hype seems to die slowly.

How did anyone d/l it? The only link I found took me to a page in a language I
couldn't understand, but I think it said "file not found". :(

Okay, thanks! I'll try this when I get home (at work right now).

Edit: Hmm, that is the same link I tried before - maybe just
something odd the first time, I'll give it another shot.

it works well on the falcon CT60, and also with the CTPCI and video card!
In this last case the game launch in the same rez as you were in your desktop, so it looks graphically improved in a high rez, but there is lot of bugs and it's slow.
In both demo i have to stay in the same room, especially in the second one, it seems to be impossible to go out from the bar through the doors. I don't understand because in the screenshots we were seeing exterior backgrounds.
