Trying to get Dark Side of the Spoon running :-\
I downloaded the patched version of Dark Side of the Spoon to run on my Falcon from the dbug website. I also located the relevant disk image (dbug193C) off of the same website for that particular demo, because as I understand, there are a few different demos that span across a number of disks which relate to the same menu patch on dbug193A.
Unfortunately it doesn't want to play ball, after copying DTOTS.tos from the patched image, and DSOS.cj from dbug193C onto the same disk, the computer loads it up, but after initial screen where it says its being unpacked (whilst playing music at twice the speed), the screen goes black and it locks up. It won't work on any ST modes or the TV.
After searching further, I noticed a different ST image file with a patched version of this particular disk, however upon opening this image file using FloImg, it says there is a bad time stamp and their are only two tiny files out of a possible 800k?
Hopefully this is the bit where someone can kindly point out me making a stupid mistake, and I can finally get this demo working (I've not seen it properly before :-\ )
Thanks in advance.

HDD patch, not falcon patch. D-Bug have their own forum, for support (or general insults depending on how xunty they're feeling) post there instead.

As has already been said :the_mighty_quinn wrote:I downloaded the patched version of Dark Side of the Spoon to run on my Falcon from the dbug website.

ST ONLY

I imagine most ST demos cannot be patched to the Falcon easily (if at all).

You might try with backwards' or magiboot?

I thought it meant the ST compatible resolutions on the Falcon only :-$alexh wrote:As has already been said :the_mighty_quinn wrote:I downloaded the patched version of Dark Side of the Spoon to run on my Falcon from the dbug website.

It's ok, I'll dig out my ST when I'm visiting home next, it will be like being reunited with a long lost relative ^_^nativ wrote:You might try with backwards' or magiboot?

Re: Trying to get Dark Side of the Spoon running :-\
No chance! DSOTS relies on exact 8Mhz ST timing for overscan effects. As far as I know the Falcon cannot match it, even not with Backwards in 8Mhz mode.nativ wrote:You might try with backwards' or magiboot?
