Some of you might already know it... I have finally decided to
add all the QUARTET-format files to the fading twilight archive...
In the past I did not like that format as its splitted into two
files ... the sondata (SONG.4V) and the sampledata (SAMPLE.SET).
Recently I discovered a tool that merges both into a single file
(MERGED.4Q). There also exists a player on the atari ST/Falcon
that plays such files...
now...
1. Merging does not work on some of the files... the player crashes
when you try to play the merged version. I guess somebody with
some coding skills has to fix that

2. There should be a player for PC and other systems for .4Q-files
aswell... I already mailed to the DELIPLAYER team but did not get
any response

3. I NEED HELP .. merging all the stuff... you can easily do this
under STEEM so you dont need to copy all the stuff to your real
machine... If you are interested to support me I can supply you
some of the unmerged songs...
remarks:
if you merge those 2 files it is possible to add songinfos...
you just need to type a little ascii-text-file... like this:
Starball intro
Composed by: Spaz/The Lost Boys
http://fading-twilight.atari.org/
and add it to your folder... the merging tool (MAKE_ONE.PRG)
will ask you for this one too... IT IS necessary that you add
those information .. or atleast it would be very very
nice to have those infos too cause this is one of the reasons
why Im not finished with merging right now... sometimes you
have to investigate to find out WHO the composer of the music
was.
It would be nice to get some support because this would push
me further to another release of a fading twilight cd... or even
the DVD project
