I think this was the last version done... no idea if it uses FPU but I doubt that.

Ok, thanks. There was some info in the documentation about requesting a FPU enabled version direct from Copson Data.

Got a different download from Atari Music Network website. Unpacked the MSA file to a floppy and hey presto it worked! Excellent. More hours of music making ahead...

Total newbie question here on a very old thread (as I ALSO want to download Zero-X). I'm on a Macbook and I download Atari software onto an external USB floppy drive. How to i "unpack" this .msa file to run on my Atari ST?

You can copy the .msa onto your Atari ST, and unpack it with JAY MSA found here: http://phoenix.inf.upol.cz/~opichals/jay/

Here is a zip file containing the folder from the MSA. Unzip the contents to your USB floppy disk.
ZEROX151.zip

Yeah you are going to want to get yourself some utility stuff when you are first starting out, a decent unpacker and a RAM drive so you can avoid all that crazy disk swapping......stuff like that.

Hi everyone, ressurecting this thread for the second time.
I tried and loved Zero-X 1.51 on Steem, great piece of software, especially for beat slicing.
Now I have two problems : first the above version won't run on my Mega STE, though it runs fine on another machine. Anyone experiencing the same disturbing behaviour ? I have nothing plugged in in the cartridge port.
Second point, does anyone know where I can find Zero-x 2.0 for STE machines ? Ihave read clues that it exists somewhere, but have only ben able to find the Falcon version...
Any help greatly appreciated :)

Yeah, it's completely useless. That's why you have to send it to me by mail and I'll do you a big favor to recycle that dongle.
You can thank me.

I would assume the official EPSS page would contain the latest versions. EPSS was released as freeware some time ago. Give it a try: http://epss.copson.se/

EDIT: Ops, sorry, I see now that you're talking about Zero-X, not EPSS. Same author, but different software. Sorry for my confusion!

Do not worry, a happy response or a sour response are both possible: I have experience in all fields.

It was a smiley face comment. The Zero X dongle looks good setting next to the Cubase dongle, and reminds me of the Wizztronics dazes :)

Thank you for the report! 8)

As part of the moderator team I rushed to the scene to catch this "recyclist" in the act, but alas, he was long gone.

But fear not, we have set up a command post and if you see this man again, or anyone else for that matter, that suggests recycling of our beloved Ataris or peripherals, don't hesitate to push that alarm button again! :contract:

 :D
