Octalyser (.avr samples)

Post by smoston »

Hello, got a sample cart and Octalyser software set up. If anyone wants one or two samples made let me know I will try and help you out. My setup is a modular synth, tried to make some analogue drums. Also some waveforms. The drums are better than the waveforms.

BDB is a bass drum. The bass gets really crunched. Need to experiment more with BD sounds.

SDL is a snare drum. It has been distorted to make it loud enough.

CH 1,2,3 are white noise with bandpass at different decay rates. For hihats, volume needs to be turned down.

Cong was a conga, think there's two in there by mistake

SQ basic square, might have been mashed in the sample editor (time compressed, double original frequency)

SAW basic saw might have been mashed in the sample editor (time compressed, double original frequency)

SAWb same as above but reversed, this way if you play saw and SawB together perhaps detuned a semitone or two can create chorus fx

Sine haha this is really funny, sounds very pwm, really random effect to it

DN is digital noise from my modular, sounds really video gamey.

More samples freshly sampled today!

Synton Fenix waveforms sine, square, pwm, noise, dig, fm bell

Yamaha PSS 780, tubular bells preset patch

Korg Volca Beats (incomplete, difficult to record)

Feel free to experiment with these samples

Hope they are used and enjoyed by Atari users

This is cool, haven't had time to listen yet, but the Volca Beats samples I hope should be interesting. The more drum hits, the better!

some of the volca beats samples have problems
the BD sucks, gonna have to try and amp it or slightly distort it before recording next time
the clap seems OK
