Software for ST?

Is there software available that will let me run my 1040 STf as a sound module with full MIDI support. I love to hook up the Atari to my existing sequencing set up (Logic via MIDI) much like I would my other hardware synths.

You want to control the ST's YM2149 sound chip via MIDI? MaxYMiser is probably your best bet. It's a tracker, but it has some MIDI control.

This is a very late reply, but just reading the DHS page on chip music editors now, a program is recommended for this purpose called "Sound Chip Synth".

This is not a music editor as the others here, but is a midi synthesizer using the YM2149-chip, something alot of people have asked for. You can control all three channels over MIDI. It needs a screenmode of 640x400 pixels or more in any colour depth (ST-HIGH is fine). Check the screenshot for ST-HIGH/TT-MID dumps of the program.

So yeah, that could do the trick if MaxYMiser is too hard (I have never composed chip music and I'm completely lost with it!)
