Converting SNDH to YM dump 4 playing on ZX Spectrum

Post by newart »

I am doing a demo and want to play music with Atari in foramate SNDH on ZX Spectrum.

To do this I need to get a dump of registers, as it can be done? Are there some tools? :coffe:

My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Just realised that you want a SNDH to YM and not the other way around - was tired last night and didn't read the post correctly. My apologies.

There's a Speccy musician on here somewhere - wonder if he knows more - look for "yerzmyey" on this forum.

Hi there.

It was made by Patisoners.

Sadly I don't have their e'mails.
Write me, I'll give You Factor6's address - probably he knows the guys better.

I didn't know that, btw. I thought they managed to play all 3 SidSound channels with 3,5Mhz CPU.
Ah, well.

Ah, well.
It's not possible to play all 3 channels with SID. It's too big job for the Spectrum as it doesn't have a CTC.
However, I'm still looking for good (at best linux commandline) tool for converting .SND(H) to .YM.
The .YM is the only format which contains all the YM registers and it's needed if one want to play YM SID sound on the ZX.
