Scan doubling

Post by Halk »

I'd like to connect to a VGA CRT monitor. I've just bought a NOS 17" one and as expected it of course won't accept a 15Khz signal.

I've looked back over various videos and guides etc and nothing jumps out as a great solution. The 8220 board doesn't seem to work well.

The only thing I've come up with that might do the job is the nice metal boxed SCART to HDMI, and then using an HDMI to VGA on the output of that.

Are there other options I could use?

Retrotink seems a good way to convert to vga out.

To digital, which isn't what I need.
