USB Mice?

Post by thedavegray »

Hello,
Just bought a 520STFM and a 1040 STE (4mb) from ebay and looking to get these on my desk and in daily use. None have decent Mice and
I know the PeST is available from http://www.exxoshost.co.uk but I wondered if there have been any recent developments (since 2010) is the realms of USB mice.

I've seen this on YouTube and it looks really interesting but seems like it's not a production project. I would try myself but I have 100% killed
every electrical appliance I have taken apart.

I have a pristine boxed copy of Hisoft Basic 2 that has been sat in the cupboard which I'm going to dig out and write some of my C# Windows apps in good old HB2 and WERCS.

Thanks
Dave

Laser ST1 mouse http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 26#p343726 is a nice development since 2010 albeit not USB.

But I am using a wireless mouse on my Falcon... of course this has been around before 2010.

You also got Rys MKII USB adapter.

CosmosEX is another route to go, a lot more expensive, but also provides a harddrive and other nifty features.

All amiga mouse works aswell, but you have to shift 2 pins on the mouse for atari functionality.
Updated my guides as of june 28th, 2016. Check'em out and feedback!

Thanks for all the responses, some useful info there.

I bought a PeST for now but will look into USB options later on.

Anyone had any luck pushing through a KVM (mouse )

My STE just arrived, complete with ultrasatan drive, so that's this evening sorted.

Cheers
