I test it with an Atari Mega ST1 (TOS 1.04) and a LINK96 ACSI/SCSI Adapter and a SCSI HDD. All works fine with a FAT16 USB Stick ...

It is whether a USB Stick is there or not.

Bootorder: 1. BIGDOS.PRG, 2. USB.PRG, 3. STORAGE.PRG, 4. NETUSBEE.PRG and the USB.ACC on C:\

I'm working on this, I got a reliable driver but only for the 060, as soon as it's completely ready I'll post it here.

I pushed yesterday the latest changes in the code, binaries are available in FreeMiNT's github website snapshot section
https://freemint.github.io/#snapshots

This version of the driver is very reliable for me in 060 mode.

Where do you connect the USB floppy drive? to the NetUSBee? And what driver do you use for this USB floppy drive?

EDIT: I've searched for the Gotek USB floppy and I've seen that it's connected to the Falcon floppy cable. I don't know why it conflicts I need to investigate this.

EDIT2: Does it work with the USB TOS drivers?

Can anyone give me a step-by-step for getting the MINT USB drivers to work? I just copied everything inside the 'usb' folder to my AUTO. But it doesn't seem to be detecting my USB drive. I am testing with a fat16 2gb usb drive (usb2).

You did run the loader.prg, didn't you?

But that's wrong. You keep everything inside the USB folder and configure MiNT to run loader.prg. Have a look at this section of the Lightning VME doc, it's similar for the MiNT drivers for NetUSBee: http://wiki.newtosworld.de/index.php?ti ... ME_En#Mint

Okay, I have done this. When I plug a USB flash drive in the drive flickers once. When I open U:/ I see no extra drive. Am I supposed to be using the TOS drivers in conjunction with this? Because I'm not, I have only installed the Mint drivers. Also should this read a windows fat16 formatted 2gb drive?

Correct, don't use the TOS drivers in parallel. Also, MiNT should be able to read a Windows-formatted FAT16 drive. Things to check:

- Are the storage.udd driver and the .ucd driver for your hardware (NetUSBee) loaded without error? You can see this while booting MiNT.
- If you set the debug message level (e.g. by pressing Shift at boot) to at least "ALERT" you'll see a message displayed for every USB device that is connected. If not, there is an issue with the driver or the hardware.
- The FreeMiNT storage.udd driver can afaik only mount USB flash drives with an MBR and one or more partitions, not those formatted as "super-floppy".

Alright guys, forgive my noobness here, but this is a driver to allow storage devices to work on the NetUSBee though the USB port?

Will this work on my STE with 4 megs of ram and TOS 2.06? I have no hard disk. Can ethernet functions run on at the same time as the storage device?

I don't own a NetUSBee currently but If can actually use this I will get one ASAP!

Yes. Later, mouse should work, and also keyboard etc.

It can work from floppy on a normal ST, so it should work well for you. We found a problem, with Sting, when the drivers are installed and configured, networking works, but USB file transfers don't. However, you can use UIPtool, that works well to transfer files to/from PC/MAC and USB file transfers work.

It's not often we can buy Atari hardware. I bought from Lotharek, reasonable price and fast shipping.

Yes. The Atari think it is a HDD attached so it will funcion as one. But it is not be bootable so you need a floppy disk to run the drivers from to get access to the usb.
