A new version of VanillaMiNT is finally available at http://vanillamint.atari.org.

New in this version:

- Support for Hades, CT60, Afterburner and Amiga (!).
- Updated configuration tools. Video mode selector added.
- Latest Teradesk.

This is an interim release. Milan and 68000 releases are in the pipeline, but I need to tweak and test these more. Especially the 68000 version needs attention. I'm releasing this version now so people can try MiNT on their newly aquired CT60e

Can you give me an exact listing of your autofolder (unsorted!) and also mint.ini, mint.cnf and xaaes.cnf? Also, you *did* download the 060 archive? And booting in 060 mode?

I have a newly formatted cf card using hdd9.1 driver.
I installed ndvi and then just transferred the VanillaMint files.
I did download the 060 archive.
I haven't changed any cnf/ini file.
No sort: NVDI/WDIALOG/MINT

I don't see any video.cnf file under /mint/

There won't be one until you've created it with the screenmode selector. But it does not matter, XaAES will use the default video mode when this file is missing.

Maybe you can try to enable the bootlog in MiNT's boot menu and post it here?

I think you have the explanation there. ST-Zip is... old. I've had problems extracting "new" zips with ST-Zip before so I stopped using it. Use a more recent zip/unzip, or unzip on your PC before transfering the files.

Ok. Job done!
I had to manually set the video mode in xaaes.cnf.
After that system boot to desktop. Then I set the screen using your tool and the video.cnf file created, I put back the include line and now works.

In other words, for some strange reason, xaaes didnt choose the default mode when video config file is missing...

That's strange. Is your NVRAM OK? Is there a newdesk.inf present?

Wow! I just tried the 040 version on WinUAE + EmuTOS, it worked out of the box
Of course, only monochrome ST-High is supported, as usual.

I also tried it on real Amiga + Vampire V2. It worked equally well, but before that I had to rename xaaes040.km to xaaes060.km. Ideally, the Apollo 68080 should be detected as 68040, but due to the presence of PCR register is it currently detected as 68060. So xaloader.prg tries to load the wrong module. This is a known issue, I plan to provide a patch for proper Apollo 68080 detection as 68040 in FreeMiNT (already done in EmuTOS).

Note about mouse drivers: inside the xaaes folder, only one of moose.adi or moose_w.adi should be present. I think that only keeping moose_w.adi should be safe for everyone.
