Freemint snaphots available again

Post by ThorstenOtto »

The last couple of days i spent some time to convert the travis CI scripts for
(most of) the freemint repos to github actions, and to upload the resulting
archives to the server i'm already using (dunno whether that will be the long
term solution, but for now should do)

The download page is currently just the default ftp listing, and might need
some tweaking. Also, since only the archives are stored there, some metadata
(like the commit-id and commit-message) are missing.

Thanks! How about moving each commit into a separate directory? I see they are sorted by date/time so that's good but it will become cluttered over time (not to speak about loading times for such page).

Btw, feel free to update https://freemint.github.io/#snapshots as well, as this is usually the second most used link for downloads.

That's possible, but for most snapshot builds (except for those with multiple cpu targets) that directory would just contain a single file, so that would not make it simpler.

Thats really nothing i'm concerned about. Think about bintray, which loaded tons of scripts before it displays anything.

Good point. Done.

I meant for freemint only, of course. Both bootable and CPU builds would benefit from it.
