F-Zero - After completing a lap the score counter keeps counting up and never stops also there is a graphic glitch on the horizon that you can see when pausing the game, both issues shown in the video.....

Thanks!breiztiger wrote:Perhaps you use rom with header like me
I use a snes tools to clean rom and games work after

That solved my problem with "Copy Protection Screen" at Donkey Kong Country

Mind blown.... What a great core. Well done team

Re: SNES core
Hi there,
So in my tests, I found my existing set of SNES games were problematic with the core. I think because they might have had headers, or were trimmed/fiddled with in some way. I got a clean set, and everything I’ve tried so far has worked. These include:
Super Mario World - saves for this game also work great, even after cold reboot. Perfect.
Donkey Kong Country - Purple and white trees in the background on the first level
Legend of Zelda - SFX missing when opening chests (no chimes), collecting objects and swinging sword
Final Fantasy III
TMNT - Turtles in Time
Contra 3
Super Star Wars
Apart from the glitches in DKC and LoZ, everything else appeared to work great. Will be testing more soon. Fantastic work on this core!

Re: SNES core
Tested and stunned! This works SO good to start! I cleared the first world in Super Mario World without being able to leave the pad!
Some bugs I found:
-In almost every game, music goes too fast then normal, then too fast again... Look at Panel De Pon tittle screen music, for example.
-Sound is totally broken in Cotton 100%
-In Contra III and Street Fighter 2 Turbo, score counters are crazy! They go up to 9999999 sometimes, or all zeroes...
-In F-Zero, look at the time counter as soon as you start: It's like predator's clock (it gives a cool added futuristic look to the game, however, but it's a clearly a bug)

Re: SNES core
I am having a similar score counter issue (as reported in Fzero and Street Fighter) in Darius Twin (U). Letters and odd characters show up.
Can anyone confirm the same?
(Just trying to rule out my sdram boards, not been having luck getting them stable above 140mhz - see the sdram topic
).
I also see the same color issue in the DKC background layer.

Re: SNES core
Great work on the Snes core. Most of the games I tested work fine.
I found the following problems:
[*] mega lo mania: the music/sound is distorted. It sounds like the volume is continually up and down.
[*] Seiken Densetsu 3. Graphical issues. Missing parts on the screen. Freezes during first game scenes. Might this have to do with the fact that this game has hi res graphics?

Re: SNES core
I noticed at startup of this core, analog video from the IO board (in my case configured as YPbPr) does not work, until you start a game. So basically I had to use an HDMI output to start the core because it would not appear on my CRT, but after starting a game the analog output works.

Re: SNES core
Yeah regarding the score counter on a lot of games going crazy points to the binary coded Decimal part of the CPU could be the issue
Re: SNES core
Already fixed. So, no more infinite lives and high scores

Re: SNES core
You can choose any game you like and rename it to boot.rom in SNES folder.jft wrote:I noticed at startup of this core, analog video from the IO board (in my case configured as YPbPr) does not work, until you start a game. So it will be loaded on core startup.
Later i will add workaround.

Re: SNES core
The latest release is awesome! Most bugs have been fixed, but I still find the music bug: Music in games sometimes goes too fast, then normal, then too fast... Tittle music for "Panel de Pon" is a very easy case to see the bug in action.
Re: SNES core
The 20181201 release notes say that dialogs are fixed in Seiken Densetsu 3, but I still don’t see dialogs, and I still have some sort of temporary freezes.
I tried both the english rom translation and the original (no-intro) version.
Can anyone confirm this?
