Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Purchased the SDRAM XS v1.1 for MiSTer FPGA DE10-NANO from ch570512 and it arrived quickly a couple of days later in good condition packed in some bubble wrap in an envelope.
My particular module seem to be stable at 160Mhz, but not 167Mhz. I'm satisfied though since 160Mhz is more than enough for all the current cores. Thanks ch570512!

Does anyone know if Poobah is on vacation? I sent him an email 2 days ago to order some boards and haven't heard back.
Edit: never mind! He got back to me yesterday evening.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
I/O Board v6.0 - anyone have?

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Hunting numbers?
I'll do some if I ran out of 5.5PCB's
and not before.
It's again some small step further, but not a big jump as from the 3.1 to the 5.2.
Changes between 5.5 / 5.6 / 6.0:
5.5 - 5.6: Some pullups on the USB3 connector (nobody using till now) / switch to manually switch on/off the fan
5.6 - 6.0: Switch for the fan is gone agin, but now the possibility to power the and with 3V or 5V / single resistors exchanged to resistor networks.
Sorgelig might correct me (maybe I've overseen something) - but this is more or less all.
Changing to resistor networks will give some benefit for the people who solder the boards as it will reduce the time for solder a board. The the user there is no change. Picture is generated exactly the same.
@Sorgelig: in the Schematics you refer to R beeing 240R or 300R - have you done some calculations about the wave resistance for the R2R Network.
If I remember right the older one with the R1=510R has been quite near to the theoretical needed 75R?
Don't want to blame you - you say tested in the Schematics and if you write this I know that it will work - this is (at leat for me) just an academic question.
(And beeing at my first coffee this morning and too lazy to calculate by my own
)
So for the End User there is no big relevant change - you might see it different, but there is some no real need to hunt for a 6.0.
If you can wait - then wait - if you are want to buy now, buy a 5.5 or 5.6 one - I've desribed the differences above - and (at least in my opinion) they are minor.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
More then enough to buy v6.0 if you have no any otherSorgelig wrote:I/O Board v6.0
- R-2R DAC for VGA
- use resistor networks for fewer amount of components.
- Automatic VGA SOG control from software.
USB Hub v2.1
- VBUS control (optional)
- Additional 2 USB power-only ports. Can be used for either power supply for MiSTer or for non-USB devices using USB as a power source.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
it's not gone. It's added. You can use either 0R resistors or use the jumper/switch.THaase wrote:6.0: Switch for the fan is gone agin
I didn't. Actually i had no much choice for R-2R values. Basically only these 2 values are found on Mouser. I've tested it on my monitor and picture with 300R is close to what was in v5.6. I've also tried 499/1K but picture is darker.THaase wrote:@Sorgelig: in the Schematics you refer to R beeing 240R or 300R - have you done some calculations about the wave resistance for the R2R Network.

OK, thanks for the Info - as I said - just academic ....
I've had also searched for a full intergrated one ... basically found one from AD (would hve to check again) - but if I remember right this needed some kind of clock (don't ask me for the purpose at the moment - can't remember
