Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
I got my SDRAM XS and RTC from ch570512 and its working great. I also got a IO Board 5.5 from THaase and looks good.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
My rtc board is starting to break the connector slot on the de10 nano because its to big forcthe slot.
Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Oh wow. I wonder if that is because its a cut-down plug of a slightly wrong size, if its specific to yours, or if its common among all RTC installs.
Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
looks like RTC board connector is wrong. There are some part numbers suited to use in boxed connectors, but other part numbers are not.Indcsion wrote:

It's hard to say by looking on it. The difference in thickness is almost unnoticeable. But when you plug - you quickly realize if it's right or not.
Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Hello guys,
I'm looking for someone willing to sell to me the SDRAM, IO, USB and RTC boards and send them to Japan?
I go home to the UK at Xmas, so that could be an alternative if no sellers are willing to send to Asia.
Thanks.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
OK,
I've just checked the RTC Connector (hasn't been AliExpress but LCSC).
The ones from LCSC - PartNumber C71267 (doesn't fit) - 4.5mm
The ones from Amphenol mentioned in the Wiki (fit) - 4.3mm
Basically it shoud be possible to grind them with a belt sander (tip from Cyril) - but I don't have (and I love my fingers)

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
.2mm is so little, you could prolly use a manual file or maybe even an emery board.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Yeah i am getting diddly response to anything.
If people want the MISTer project to really take off we need an easier way to get these add on boards. It is too difficult at the moment.

You've got mail (all of you) - but sorry what do you expect?ikilby wrote:Yeah i am getting diddly response to anything.

Since one and a half week the world is going crazy due to SmokeMosters Video afaik.
I've sold my whole stock that would have last till XMas within one week!
Sorry, but I'm (and also the other doing the soldering) not a magician.
You can go to a company and let them produce 1000 boards for you ... risk .... yours ....
Luckily I've had already ordered parts for the IOs, SDRam and RTCs befor this madness began .... so I've been able to start already last Saturday ....
but I've a private life also ....
If we are not fast enough - START SOLDER
Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
I did contact Alex from ITead (https://www.itead.cc/). Will see if he can help.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Lol THaase I have START SOLDER
working through 100 orders in the US and going as fast as I can, I've ordered all parts, arriving tomorrow.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
I didn't meant you! - Everybody complaining that we aren't fast enough should start solder by it's own. We are no company. We are doing this on our own.In our spare time - on our own risk.arithmaldor wrote:Lol THaase I have START SOLDERworking through 100 orders in the US and going as fast as I can, I've ordered all parts, arriving tomorrow.
So somebody complaining should start soldering and support us helping the others that can't do the job.
It's not so hard to start solder and it's never too late to learn something new!
Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
I am willing to solder my own. Can someone ship me the parts in Canada and accept payment through PayPal? I am looking for the boards with all the components
-sdram card w/ all components
-I/O card with all components and fan
-rtc card with components
PM if you can sell them to me.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
arithmaldor I bet you could sell a lot of those as DIY kits to people just to get them out faster.
Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Do you have any idea about the effort to put a kit together?
For SDRam and RTC it's possible - yes.
But for the IO it easily took you half an hour - you have to collect the items and you have to LABEL them - the Rs do have prints, so maybe you can skip this, but the Cs don't have ....
I've done this once for a well known person and the efford is nearly as high as assemble the board.
Where is the problem to order the parts @Digikey for example?
You are getting the delived in bags with the values on it ....
Oh just forgotten: From LCSC I'm normally getting my SD Chips in Trays not as T&R .... cutting a Tray is a really dirty job
So how to pack the SDChip in a good way?

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
It might perhaps be helpful to some if there's a digikey parts list / bill of materials.THaase wrote:Do you have any idea about the effort to put a kit together?
