Thanks to Slingshot.
SiDi version attached.

Msdos is also needed to start.

Not all msdos games work, some do others do not, it would be interesting if someone makes a list of functional games.

Fantastic! I wonder if MIDI support could be added.

I think there is no support for YPbPr and Scart RGB, is it right ?

Great news, thanks Slingshot!
Just tried, but w/o luck. How to partition/format the sd card when using without vhd? Tried 8GB, 4GB and 2GB cards, properly formatted in each case with fat32 and fat16 and boot flag, but core says "hd0: 0MB sd card" and hangs with a blinking cursor at every boot.
From what I think I can remember from the very old times is that that max using case would be a sd/partition with <=4GB and fat16...right?
On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy.

I have installed MSDOS 6.22 in a Next186.vhd file with VirtualBox but the core remains locked on this screen:

Obviously MiST is wired via VGA cable (No YPbPr or RGB output, I imagine not supported).

Next186.rom is in the same dir of Next186.rbf core.

Any idea ?

VirtualBox images are raw files? E.g. no header, no compression, no other garbage?

And is it different from the Next186 on other boards?

BTW, some of my favorites are running:
Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space (however I miss the digi sounds)
Stunt Island
Dune I-II (with good music, again I miss the digi sound of Dune II)
Batman Returns
Battle Isle II does something with EMU386s, but I need to set up a CD emulator to see

Of course don't expect DOS4GW games to work.

The core is VGA only, YPbPr is there, but probably won't produce a TV compatible signal.

I'm a step further by using a 3GB DOS 6.22 formatted VHD file, but it's loafing around forever after loading himem.sys. Skipping config.sys/autoexec.bat by hitting F5 while booting drops me to a working command.com
And ctrl+alt+del isn't working...fatal! ;)

It doesn't look like that simple:

Maybe the fixed variant could work.

DOS version of himem.sys and emm386 are not compatible (well, from the name '386' it can be guessed). FreeDOS has a compatible XMS and EMS driver (can be used with MS-DOS, too). I think Manuferhi's image contains that.
The BIOS source is available, you can add CTRL-ALT-DEL :)

Nothing to do.

My Monitor says me it use a 720 x 400 @ 70Hz which is not compatible with Component output (= 720 x 400 @ 60Hz or 50)

I need a working vhd with MS DOS 6.22.

Equal than other FPGAs that run this core of course.

Thanks, haven't seen his archive due to horniness :) Combined his files with my found vhd and it's working, even PRINCE!

Um, erm, left my programming skills in BASIC and 6502 assembler 30 yrs ago. No chance, sadly.

Fate of Atlantis runs great. ADLIB works but no mouse. Guess I'm missing a DOS driver?
