OK, I have found working version. I had patched 030/MegaSTE version which didn't work with MiSTery. I have to check my favourite games to test compatibility with MiSTery core which is very cool !!!

Both work fine, for Double Dragon 3, I needed the VMAX version, Rainbow Islands ran with every version I tried, even the HDD version.

Gemini Wings, on menu Button joystick doesn't start the game, old ST core is ok.

Summer Games is another games which doesn't start pressing joystick button. Old core does.

Yes, if you press space but yon can't use joystick.
Only the installable version seems to work as due.

I talk only of floppy disk image format, no hd installable.

Great Giana Sisters STE (2014) shows a problem with multi-button support STE joypad.
First and second button slow down the subject until block while pressing the buttons.

Second button in Giana STE is used to jump, first to fire.

Previous Core has not any bug with controllers, they are present with latest release of the MiSTery Core which supports STE controller.

It's probably wasn't a good idea to drive to normal and the STe joystick ports together. Just how to switch between them (without a new OSD item)?

Yes, it's a good idea to have an option in the menù.
