Ok, try the attached one.
There's a hidden message in the SpeedLock loader in Speccy:
"Attempting to crack SpeedLock can damage your sanity"
I think it's also true for implementing a tzx/cdt player with all of its details.

It's not a final patch yet. It's possible to have an overlay, I'm not sure I want to work on it :)

Birdie's loader is too sensitive, sometimes fully OK, sometimes it crashes during the load for me. Another problem I have is as the CDT/TZX internal timings is based on a 3.5MHz clock, a fractional clock divider is needed for the CPC's 4MHZ. And if it's done properly, a lot of CDT files fail. If I cheat a bit, then it's much better.

The full time is only known when the whole CDT is parsed, which doesn't happen until the playing reach the end, so counting back is not really feasible. The progress bar is in progressbar.v. I won't improve it more.

Caprice64 21.1 also has problems with this.
Fixing this goes against the TZX standard, which might break other tapes.

Upd.: if you get a HEX editor, and change all the "Length of PILOT tone" from an odd number to even (e.g. add +1), it'll work. Odd number of pilot tones will change the phase of the data pulses (from ---___ to ___---), and seems this loader is level-sensitive. I would see the waveform on the original tape.
Previously the "Length of PILOT tone" was interpreted as a full cycle (both low and high level), however according to the TZX specs, it should be interpreted as a single pulse.
