Is it normal that colors and graphics are corrupted in all games ?

Ok, problem seems it's the last mra tools, I have to use an old one.

Flicky arc isn't created. Mr Viking show only a black screen. I use merged mame 0.220 set.

Or better - use Linux! (You can poke @sebel to give him some motivation to fix that Windows build).
If the MD5 is ok, then the ROM should be good.
Flicky.arc should be "Flicky (128k Version, 315-5051).arc"

As I'm on mac, that switch to MRA stopped me from updating and adding arcade cores to my MiST.
Is there any chance to make it work on OS X?

I don't have a Mac, nor sebdel I think.
But you have one, probably you can get a C compiler (maybe it's shipped by default with the OS, AFAIK clang is used by Apple), you can try to compile and share the result with the community.

Try this one:
https://github.com/gyurco/mra-tools-c
I've found an uninitialised variable which didn't work with clang even on Linux.

Thanks! It builds and it seems that it works.
I have complete MAME .225 unmerged romset, and some mras are not working, amidar for example:

I attached the log.

Is there a way to convert the whole folder of MRAs at once?
mra_dir.sh is also working good. :)

This kind of part name (dir/file) refers to a merged ROM.

Lot of ROMs are included in the sources...it's a gray area.

I've tested the new games  . Can Freeplay option be changed? Most of the games have this mode on and there's not any menu option to change to credit driven play.

Which ones? Every games are counting coins.
Use the latest MRA tool, and delete the .CFGs if already created. Maybe the defaults are bad with an old MRA tool.

Rally-X or Commando, for example. But let me see if by mistake I'm using an old MRA version. Thanks!

I've tried the new game from Sega System 1, Swat, but no nor rom nor arc is created after using mra.

https://github.com/gyurco/Mist_FPGA_Cor ... 20Hardware

I've found the problem and solution:

Code: Select all

This line is repeated in the MRA file. Once you delete one of the lines, it works :D

And game runs perfectly!
