Atari 2600 core

Post by vebxenon »

Hi!

Is there any compatibility list for Atari 2600 core? I know is a bit abandoned core, but as no bankswitching is still being added, only some games are compatible there.

Regrads,

Salva

You can build a working Set with Romvault. My Romvault Dats be found here: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-boar ... om_manager.
Read the PDF how to build it.

Another solution could be to use one one the physical joystick port and use the SoC to provide with GPIO a more flexible interface to the FPGA via the existing interface.

the joystick ports on the MiST go to the ARM chip and not directly to the FPGA.

By mentioning SoC I am refering to the ARM chip. Indeed, the idea is to have flexible IOs with driver inside the ARM. Logic will be on the FPGA but to accommodate all "real" peripheral possibilities you need some glue and the ARM is the best place to do that. This approach is not suitable if it is foreseen to turn all peripheral into FPGA code.

Yes, it is totally my fault. I will not put more things in this place now.

Long live to VCS 2600 :-)
