Asked this some time ago on mist-fpga.net....

Is it possible to attach XBOX360 Wireless-Adapter to MiST ( https://github.com/felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0 ) or even include code for Bluetooth-Dongles into Firmware?

This would require two things
  • a. A complete bluetooth protocol stack and
    b. A user interface for device selection, pairing etc
Both is sure possible but a lot of work ... and flash space is limited, so one might have to optimize a lot.

The .upg file does not appear to be here:

https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-bina ... r/firmware

Although the old Firmware was moved to the old folder.

maybe a stupid question....

is it possible to "pause" the MiST with a customiseable keyboard-shortcut (e.g. ctrl+alt+delete)? Entering the OSD doesn't pause the simulation. Is it in general possible to do such thing independently from the core?

No, it''s not possible. Even it's tricky in the core level.

The firmware could be modified so that the roms are always in ROMS directory and .cfg files also in CONFIG directory, I have an SD with all the cores sorted by directories, but the root directory is a chaos with all the roms of arcades and .cfg

With last Mist Firmware 20191129 : Usb Joypad issue : don't work. there are 6 joystick in the list but all in Atari 1 button mode
need to comme back to Firmware 20191102 in order to have usb pad with 6 buttons in core.

If the list shows 6 DB9 joysticks, then it's surely a bug - in the device insert/remove code. I've seen it once when I rapidly plugged in/pulled out joypads. But that part wasn't really changed. What kind of USB pad is it? Try to plug in, then turn on MiST.

with previous firmware 20191102 all works well : sega cores, nintendo cores, amiga core with this pad: https://www.amedia-computer.com/en/joys ... 41793.html

but with last firmware: nothing works with the same pad :)
i will test you say tonight.

hi

thanks for the new firmware. its possible to a some features? :)

- add path to rbf in .arc file (do we can have arc file in different path - now i have in the "core list" two scramble)
- possibility to add only part of the filename of the core in arc file (scramble in arc for scramble_20200209.rbf filename)
- possibility to have a /rom folder where we place the roms - rom files in root of sdcard will continue to grow (for example, mist will try to find first rom file in /rom folder and after that in root folder)

With the current FAT driver, it's required to have the short 8(+3) name in the ARC file. Wildcard matching and such are not really feasible (nor I want to do it). The other requests - have to think about a proper implementation.

csync_disable=0 ; set to 1 to output separate hsync and vsync in 15khz

If you have a 15kHz monitor which doesn't like composite sync, then set it to 1. However now only the new Minimig and MiSTery cores support it.

Thanks for implementing this useful feature on both firmware and core levels!
