Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
I doubt it is an emulation problem because some of these titles are known to work well with STX images. I even seem to remember a Baal dump working fine on Steem.dlfrsilver wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 1:03 pm Just for information, I have processed lately 2 titles that are confirming that the publishers have been using Amiga Tracks on ST games, built and factored to be read by the ST readtrack command.
Baal from Psygnosis is one of them. Aufit shows the tracks as not in ST/IBM format, but Amiga. When i click on the track i see that a track is made of 12 Amiga sectors.
We need to see with the emulator authors, because the game once passed in STX format doesn't work, and it doesn't seem to be data corruption.
Nicolas Pomaredes help and Steven Seagal help on Steem will be needed, as well as Dr Coolzic for Aufit.
I have added the STX files :

other titles using Amiga written tracks : Backlash from Novagen, Obitus from Psygnosis, Batman the Movie.
It is probably an issue of the STX conversion. Please post a link to the RAW files and I will check.

Ijor, Baal triggers the debugger on Steem 4.0.2. The 2 protection tracks in ST/IBM format do not seem to be a problem (i can only encode those).ijor wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:06 pmI doubt it is an emulation problem because some of these titles are known to work well with STX images. Problem : i have 2 different dumps triggering the exact same crash in Steem.
i send you a PM.
The other titles can be encoded in STX, but not in IPF unfortunately.
Here is the disk 1 passed in Aufit :

For baal here is just one track :
https://ibb.co/16xtXWX
on this specific picture, you can see 12 sectors.

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
I have added the following dumps to the repository:
Dragon's Lair (512kb version] (kodak80)
Railroad Tycoon (kodak80)
Both 7z files contain SCP and Kryoflux dumps. I was not able to duplicate the Dragon's Lair disks back to floppy so if anyone has success please let me know.

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
Action Service and Macadam Bumper [GW] dumps have been added to the repository as both look fine to me. Thank you to Mr Nours for sharing these.Mr Nours wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:22 pm Hi,
I'm playing around with my greaseweazle device.
Here's two dumps of protected games i made recently. Both of them made with 5 revolutions.
Macadam Bumper which seems to have a funny protection looking at the disk image view :

Action Service

Do these dumps seems correct to you? Any advices?
Don't know if they might be interesting for the scp repository on mega.co.nz...i let you decide on this![]()

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
Dragon's Lair disks, as most ReadySoft titles, are not aligned to the index hole. In has the so called sector under the index track layout. If the tracks are written normally, from index to index, the sector under the index would be corrupted.
SCP software is supposed to be able to handle that with the correct configuration and locate a suitable write splice point automatically, but I think it doesn't. I believe Jim said he would look into this. Not sure if this was ever fixed.
Some titles with data under the index can be written by rotating the tracks manually. You might try but this will probably not work in this case.

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
Kodak, there is an unknown problem with your dump of F29 retaliator. the protection is the RNC copylock short 12 sectors (nothing strange), but Steem has trouble to run the game. Once passed in IPF, the game locks on track 71 sector 02.
@IJOR : maybe you can help on this matter ?

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
I've had a few issues trying to recover my International Ice Hockey via my Greaseweazle Lightning Plus. All the conversation has been inside the Greaseweazle FB group but generally the image from the Repository had two sides, but GW would only read a single side of the disk once it had been written. Hence a new version of GW (v0.24) which might solve the issue. I'll test it fully when I get back on Sunday to see if this fixes the issues I've been having. Thanks to whoever uploaded that version of the disk (both KF & SCP formats were included).

It was interesting to see that the Greaseweazle now has Kryoflux dumping/writing ability as well as SCP. Hopefully you have success with recovering International Ice Hockey.

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
Still having issues. I can write the known working SCP image back to a disk, but when I make an image of the same rescued disk, not all of the (apparently) full tracks are read back in.
The above were found on my old laptop and I hadn't transferred them to the main MegaSync folder. Only 3 months or so late

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
I have done some testing with my Supercard Pro and Greaseweazle F1 v0.24 (blue pill) flux boards and the International Hockey SCP dump from the repository and have managed to write and re-dump the game disk without any issue on both flux boards.
- Wrote disk with Supercard Pro and re-dumped fine
- Re-dumped disk with Greaseweazle from Supercard Pro write and dump was fine

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
What an amazing project. I just purchased a SuperCard Pro board and I hope I can help with imaging some stuff in the future. Meanwhile, I'd just like to drop a list of the SCP images I desire to find the most and haven't been able to, so far:
Chase H.Q.
Game Over 2
Into the Eagle's Nest
Joe Blade
Rolling Thunder
If you see a game on this list that you own, please considering creating an SCP dump and letting me know via PM. If you happen to have an SCP file of a game on the list please share.

Dyter-07 => I made a set of IPF, the game works flawlessly from start to the end. Please note that the Atarimania STX dump is faulty, the protection fails and triggers on every volcano level.

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository
I uploaded the v1.5 driver disk for the Atari TT AlberTT graphics card, from Dover Research Corporation. (1991)
No idea if it works. It's a 16 colour or mono 640x480 - 1024x768 VME graphics card for the TT.
(And, now I have: 1x non working STFM, 2x non-working STE's and 1x non-working TT030!!)
