Will do it in next couple days ..
Famous Schrodinger's cat hypothetical experiment says that cat is dead or alive until we open box and see condition of poor animal, which deserved better logic. Cat is always in some certain state - regardless from is observer able or not to see what the state is.

Pasti.dll reads track 79 with different content in diff. attempts. In attachment is 2 memory dump (at $400) and extracted track 79 from STX .
So, there is some weird syncing in all this. Code for checking read content is short, and I supply it in attachment too. Result for RT_TR79 is $15, for RT79 is $16 .
I can not see more from tracing game in Steem Debugger .

Hum no sure I fully understand
here read tracl T79.0 from Aufit
RT-RT79.PNG
your file RT79 look the same
RT79.PNG
But do not know what is RT_TR79 and Trck79.bin
They seem to contain the same content bur different from the RT ?
RT_TR79.PNG
But thanks anyway

With Pasti read track usually gives same content - equal to what is in STX image's track dump data.
But in this case it is different, as said probably because strange sync. So, first attempt resulted in file RT_TR79. Test result = $15
Second in RT79 . Test result = $16 . . While in STX image track read data is what is in trck79.bin .
What means that Pasti.dll performs some shift of data, based on strange sync .... Hmmm, but that's updated one by Steven Seagal .
I need to do it with Pasti 2H .... Moment ...
Even with Pasti 2H it gives 2 different patterns with track read, alternating. With result = $16 and $14. In any case passes prot. check.

If you look into prot. checking code, will see that it actually looks for seq. 0,1,2,3 ... $28 - if finds, increases d4 by 1 . So, there must be min. 16 such sequences in track read to pass test. First one is at relative pos. $FE in track read which starts with $F1E7E1E3 . Second one is at relative pos $1FF .
And so on ... Positions may be shifted depending on how it was synced, and they are not relevant in fact.

OK
it makes sense. If I remember correctly Pasti dll shift bytes at start of track until first A1 sync mark: one time shifted one time not shifted (what actually stored in the stx file). This behavior causes some programs to fail if you remember ...

On this one there are 23 times the sequence 00 - 28 (29 does not appear because it causes false C2 sync). So even if we miss the first sequence it is not a problem. I would have thought 45 EF F8 ... was checked but 00 - 28 also makes sense.

Thanks for the info I will write that down in the doc

Great thanks very much I am going to test it

I am looking for the following imaged with Kryoflux 5 revolutions:

Addicted to fun - Ninja collection (5 disks)
Air supremacy (5 disks)
After the war

I would really appreciate as each of them presents some interesting information I need to validate Aufit IPF writer

If you want to add it to your site, my dump of Dr Doom's revenge from Empire is using an RNC copylock protection. This one is not the long sector one,
but is called "Copylock Short MFM". It's made of 4 tracks (tracks 0 to 4) and using 11 sectors.

I saw you wrote it's not RNC but in fact it is :)

You can also see it on IBM PC (example : Stormlord, lethal weapon, Hook)

Not sure where did I wrote Dr Doom's revenge is not RNC?

look at http://info-coach.fr/atari/software/Gam ... om_revenge for prot analysis.

Remember that for now Aufit do not refer to protection name like RNC as it analyzes the "physical protections" for example NFA
But next release of Aufit will introduce "logical protection" like RNC in order to write IPF file.
