Ha, indeed. Got the Incognito into the 800, SuperVideo 2.1 mod on the 1200xl, and I attempted the UAV on the upgraded 130XE, but that didn't work out, so restored it to how it was.

Oh its too large to attach, will provide link.

Looks good, not terribly different from the one I have. The one that I have put off for more than a few years now... it is too bad the internal SCSI wasn't standard until the later Falcon boards.
Crap! Well hopefully I get mine sooner, rather than later. May years ago I bought this adapter, figured I would put it in today. Well, apparently the one built Edu Arana ony has 6 pins for the blocks instead of 8!
As I just ended up breaking these off to get them out, seems my scsi bus is going to be dead until I can either order replacements, or get the Cosmosex with the correct connections.

Are you talking about the SCSI terminator blocks?

You have to desolder those and then solder in the pin headers to line up with the new bridge board.

Curious what number those who have received it are, I still haven't gotten mine, and I was number 90.

According to their website they have sent out 42. I guess that is the answer to everything. But made 60 and 25 more is almost finished.

Ha, which of course means, like everything else in life, I am left waiting for longer, as simple math shows, that is only 85...
Good thing I still have my 2.0.

I’m working on a cable that won’t require you to desolder stuff.

I think it’s a shame having to desolder stuff in such a beautiful machine. I try to make things non-invasive.

That is definitely cleaner than the other solution that I had before, which has a full adapter that blocked other things on the back, but then if you want to mount the CosmosEx internally, you still need a cable to be goin from the back to the inside.

FPC cable for the internal mount is on its way.

Going to use two PCBs. One (less bulkier than this one) external and one internal. Connected with a FPC. Ought to make it possible to close the case that way.

SCSI FDC adapter looks great! Just be careful and ensure the fit is tight, the SCSI chip is fairly easy to kill with a glitching connector/connection.

Oh it’s tight. The scsi connector that is. It’s quite hard to remove. But one can add screws if one is worried.

Hi all,
I wanted to bring my small contribution, I have posted a video about the CosmosEx v3.
In it I am going over the following:
- Quick Tour
- Setup tutorial for ACSI (one of many methods)
- Troubleshooting section for the issues I've encountered so far.

Very good video, nice production.

I've got a unit that I've never done anything with. I always intended to install
it in my STacy but after reading some of the posts where people had several
problems when updating, I gave it a pass.

One small detail though, and someone correct me if I'm wrong but unless
the CosmosEX itself changes something, any files copied into the AUTO
folder are executed at boot up in the order they were copied into the
AUTO folder and not by alphabetical order.

Can someone verify this? Thanks.

Hi DarkLord, my mistake I checked some docs around and you are correct. How does it even work when most STs don't have an RTC and files are all dated in 1980? Could it be all my files were dated 1-Jan-1980 and because it couldn't sort by date it did by Alphabetical? i'll dig and try stuff...

Pretty sure the Cosmosex itself has an RTC in it, doesn't it? I use mine in my Falcon, which has a NVRAM battery, so I haven't ran into this.

Shame you haven't used it, it's a really cool device! Being able to upload disk images to it through it's embedded web interface is pretty sweet. It kind of reminds me of an earlier version of the FujiNet that is in progress for the 8bits.

When copying files into the AUTO folder, most people select "No Sort" from the desktop,
that way you can see exactly what order the files are in. Once you have them the way
you want, most of us then turn "No Sort" back off.

HTHs.

PS I've got the RTC with Jookies Ultrasatan (and his software) in my STacy and I've not
had any problems with it...

I make extensive use of AUTOSORT for moving things around. Probably my most used program!
