Error in CosmosEx communication!

I have mounted a samba share to the CosmosEx.
I get this error when I want to start an MSA from TOS.
Error in CosmosEx communication!

The CE_FDD.TTP starts, but quickly displays the error.

I can copy the file around. Or start programs from the harddisk.
Just the MSA thing does not work.
It did work before, was very practical.

Loading the same MSA via the web interface works fine.

Upgraded the rPi from yocto to raspian. No change.
Checked cables connections: all fine.
I managed to make one ST file load... but it's not compatible with the STF.
All other ST files fail as well.

I'm out of ideas.

Additional info: I now stored the MSA file on an USB stick. That way the loading works correctly.
This looks like a samba share issue. I usually have no problems with samba mounts on linux.

Hello Gunstick,

this is weird, there wasn't any change related to Samba sharing in the last few months...
Things you could try:
- try to share the the folder from a different machine (if it's now shared from linux, try it from windows)
- connect to raspberry through ssh, try to mount your samba folder manually, try to copy some files around to see if the samba sharing itself in linux works nicelly
- you could also try to monitor the Pi load (using: top -d 1) when you're trying to mount that image from Samba - something could be causing a high load on the system there, and that would lead to device not responding for a while...
- if you're connecting to the shared folder through wifi, try using ethernet instead - wifi might slow things down, this might result in the higher load issues...

I digged out the ST with CosmosEx again, even forgot about this problem, and samba share via wifi works, somehow. It's not really stable. Clicking on a floder starts like opening the folder in a window (zooming rectangle) but then nothing happens. So I guess the underlying sambe-via-wifi-from-linux is not really stable. But that's debuggable by just connecting directly on the rPi and cheing around what's going on.

A typical case of "error disappeared with time"
