Thank you !

Post by Schlampf »

Since I know no better place than here in the Atari forum, where I could address all demo coders, I'll just do it here.
First of all:
I'm not a coder (even though I wrote a vocabulary trainer in GFA Basic when I was 14)
I'm not a graphic artist (stick figures are all I can draw)
I am not a musician (I spare your ears)

- But I'm a proud demo consumer!
I find it always fascinating to see how effects, graphics, and music are produced for the Atari ST that used to be UNTHINKABLE.
My son thinks the graphics are bad, my wife finds the chiptunes awful, but I'm always looking forward to it as a gift, if the limits of what's possible are postponed. But even if something new is created from known ones with creativity.

Therefore: R E S P E C T and thank you!

btw
Same respect for all coders still producing games (Hi Thomas Ilg!)
Same respect for all Hardware Developers (The Backoffice, Lotharek and others)

They still exist, the normal users, who do not know everything better, who do not only moan, or who disgust the new developments for the ST - but gratefully use everything. Well, at least there is one ;-)

I hope you understood what I mean, because English is not my mother tongue
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Not everything released gets posted here (in fact hardly anything does recently :/ ) but checking here will show Atari releases sorted by newest uploaded:

https://www.pouet.net/prodlist.php?plat ... rder=added

Demozoo also does releases but sorts slighly differently (a 'new' prod coded in 1993 won't show as new for example)

@Schlampf : Your nice message has been shared at DHS.nu (an Atari demo news portal that most demosceners visits). :)
