Indeed !Cube is the actual master at composition, no contest imho. Some of his work is quite inspired by previous ST musicians style on some aspects, but then it's a great compendium of styles.
Then STU, 505, Ultrasyd, gwEm, Yerzmyey, Cerror, got great "dance-electro" styles with advanced compositions, and are liked by many many people, so it's definite references as well.
Scavenger had introduced advanced composition in the 90's, with some quite progressive compositions and really worked out rhythmical structure.
And then many others, Tao, Floopy, Tomchi, Crazy Q, Lotek Style, XiA, etc..................
