I think you've nailed it. Demozoo is really nice for your work (preservation), linking members, groups, parties etc. But for finding and sorting productions not so much. I have to agree with Daniel, pouet.net is still the ultimate source if one wants to see what got released during the last year for instance and not waste time with maybe funny/new/surprising/dug_out_from_somewhere yet not so enjoyable stuff.lotek_style wrote:One major reason... pouet is too limited to do proper preservation as we do on demozoo.

Pouet is fine and is still a major demoscene website. Some people have their personal reasons to prefer one or the other.
