First off, the remark I made is referencing a demo made by Excellence in Art. If you have not seen it, I suggest you do.

Now for the subject at hand; who decides what is a crew and what is not? What are the criteria, and who decides upon the criteria. Is the maker of the poster making the rules up, is pouet making them up, is demozoo defining them? I have no idea, thats why I am asking...

The reason for asking is because there are more than one single-person-labels in the poster already. So what really makes the difference between a label, a crew, an alias, and what not (and most specifically, for making it onto the poster, I want to be on there!)? Please explain this to me...

Since I dont really care about any of the differences, qualifications and what not, and consider SPKR part of the scene,crew,labelisms, I would find that reason enough to include it into the poster. Perhaps SPKR is both an alias and a crew; it most certainly is a label who decides what is what?

Oh, also, regarding labels, make sure you have a look at Talk Talk 2, incase you wonder what labels are...

I make this for months now and YES I decided to include only the crews, why ? Because if I include all the sceners one by one, I will spend my next 10 years to make it !!

But, feel free to make another one by yourself then you can decide all what you want

Dont pull the `I spend this much time and thus...', it really has nothing to do with the question I ask. You're welcome to do whatever you want, and I never intended to doubt that. If you want to include a big fart or a middle finger in there, thats your decision. Im merely asking about the rules and intricacies of your judgement; since you were very eager to say some label is not a crew...

My question still remains, what is a crew? You still have not explained this, whereas I did ask that. Im sorry to ask sophisticated questions like this. If you do not feel comfortable addressing them, let me know, and I gladly stop asking questions.

As for calling your god... I will just attribute that to your French .

I just discovered this fantastic work (thanks to Microzeit Anthology that I just ordered). Very unfortunately I can't find any copies of your poster on the whole web since the website http://undead-factory.fr/demoscene/index.html is now dead and archive.org did not archive the pictures themselves (https://web.archive.org/web/20160617073 ... demoscene/).

Do you still share this work somewhere? I would love to examine it through its finest details!

Both me (and Thomas if I remember correctly) have participated in some DHS STe demos, but never released any ST/STe demo under the New Beat label. I guess that's what disqualifies us from the hall-of-fame. Perhaps I should make a poster with Falcon030 exclusive demo crews. I think New Beat would be the only one on that poster.

About New Beat, I am sorry... It is not "I don't want to add you" but I started the poster in that way : only ST demogroups.
Well... I can add New Beat if it makes you happy but then I should add all the Falcon groups.
If New Beat had made even a small 5ko tiny intro on the ST, yeah ! But......
Also, I had idea to make a Falcon groups poster even if it will be smaller!
What do you think about it ?

Honestly? IMHO there's only one Atari demoscene, the Tramiel era of Atari, where the ST, Mega ST, STe, Mega STe, TT030, and Falcon030 are included. Why? Because quite a few of the ST demoscene people moved on to the Falcon while hardly anyone outside the ST demoscene released demos on the Falcon (except New Beat that is). So, I think all other Falcon crews are already in the poster as they released demos on the ST or STe. You made the choice of making it a ST demoscene poster and have kept true to yourself through all the updates. Whether or not that was best decision is up to everyone to decide. At this point I don't really care. It's too late in the game...

But I need a little more time because it means I must rework a big part of the poster structure.
The poster size was not random, it was built to be printed on a 160*90cm size (one of the commun size)
But it will be too small to add the Falcon crews, it's already too small to add new ST crews!
I have to think about the best way to do it...
