Unreleased demo from 1990 - works in Steem 3.2

Post by Thordarson »

Hi,

found this file with a typical oldskool demo which I made back in 1990, which was never released. The scroll text is somewhat embarassing to read today, but I was only 16 years old at that time :-)

Download from
http://thordarson.no/share-out/kaos_st.zip

It is a .prg file, just unzip and run in Steem, I use to just assign drive C: to the folder where the prg file is.

Better late then never is what I say :)

I think there is still al lot of nice/good stuff hidden on HD's.
Never released stuff or what programmers/GFX/Musicians believe is not good enough
but will blow your mind anyway :) I 4 one will check my stuff and see what's
nice enough to come up with once I am up and running again!
Might even share some GFA sources :D

So everybody check those hidden folders, lets share the FUN . . .

Hi CiH,

Yep back again, trying to get my Falcon back on the road again.
I was never really gone, I was hidding :) behind by PC.
Still it's not the s(H)ame, but the good times most roll on...

So I might just start GFA programming again...

I can confirm that. This demo was never released partly due to that I always think I had to improve it, add effects, optimize the code etc... I made a version where there was added a scrolling background behind the sideborder scrolling (instead of only color bars rolling up and down), a big landscape of raster colors scrolling in all directions showing patterns, words etc. The lower part also was digitalized pictures etc in another version. But this one is the one version I had on my PC hard drive - it has been there for several years, but I thought the file was corrupt because last time I tried it in a emulator (some years ago) it bombed out...
