Type Control^p to get the Preferences menu. There is an option there to enable/disable "Follow traps" when single stepping.

Thx ijor for your reply, I already saw them. But unfortunatly, I can't find myself in one of the 3 categories :( , I have only about 40 original disks, no knowledge about cracking and no special hardware. My point was that it is very easy to image DM (in comparison to other copy-protected disks). A...

Definitely be interested but where to get the cables from .. I bought a laplink cable which had parallel and serial on it .. but can only connect the serial side to the PC - doesn't seem to have appropriate connectors on the cable for either PC or ST via parallel. Hmm, never heard of such a cable. ...

Actually, Atari disks with weak bits are far much easier to image (not to copy) with your ST than with an Amiga.

Devpac is considered the standard assembler on the ST. Almost everyone uses it and as it is definitly a good assembler with a usable GUI. I'm not sure Devpac is the best assembler or the only used one. Even Atari’s assembler, Madmac wasn’t bad at all. Devpac is perhaps the best low-level developmen...

As i remember, it was very hard to copy this game. Even with the better programs like fcopypro, the copies didn't work. So it will be rather impossible to get a working image of it. You will not be able to make an image of DM or CSB. You will be surprised to hear that DM (and CSB) is actually among...

Re: PC relative > 32k

of course, as we all know, normal relative addressing is limited to +/- 32k offsets are there some tricks to making position independant code with offsets above this size? What you basically do is to compute a 32-bit relative offset at assemble time: routine: lea routine(PC),A0 add.l #farOffset-rou...

Copy protected diks project, seeking beta testers

Seeking beta testers for our project. We are now ready to accept more testers. This is a project for handling Atari ST copy protected disk images. It provides tools for producing images, preservation, writing images back to disk, using the images under emulators. We are currently interested in three...

Re: Procopy/Copy2ST

For some reason the ST-Copy program only works if you put it on its own disk image and then run it. It doesn't work when on this disk If I remember correctly, ST-Copy was copy-protected. Yes, it is amazing, but is true, many disk copiers and even some unprotectors were in turn copy-protected. And o...

DOB (Deluxe Option Board). Will a 486/66 work? I'm not sure but I guess it will. As I remember, the DOB was still supported well in the 386 era. So it's safe to assume that CPUs not much faster than a 386 will work. The software will warn you anyway if the CPU is too fast. I've seen a message sayin...

Additionally, I had to 'crack' disks that read a bad sector on track 80/81. As the response from the BIOS call changed from TOS 1.0 to TOS 1.2, original games that worked on TOS 1.0 did not work on TOS 1.2. Arkanoid springs to mind. Will be interesting to see a list of games that only work on TOS 1...
